  1. Definitions

  1. Additional Terms and Conditions: the additional general terms and conditions applicable to the Workshops, Retreats and Teacher Trainings organized by Delight Yoga.

  1. General Terms and Conditions: The general terms and conditions used by Delight Yoga, which have been published at the Delight Yoga website, www.delightyoga.com. These General Terms and Conditions are also available for download at www.delightyoga.com/legal/terms-of-use.

  1. Delight Yoga: Delight Yoga BV has its official seat at Prinseneiland 20 G, 1013LR Amsterdam and is listed in the Trade Register under number 24718106.

  1. Delight Card: a 5- class, 10-class card or a 20-class card, as referred to in Clause 5.

  1. Introduction to Yoga Program: a 2-hour introduction session and 3 beginner yoga classes, as referred to in Clause 9.

  1. Prenatal card: a 10-class card as referred to in clause 7.

  1. Booking fee: the Booking fee, which has to be paid by the Participant upon application for a (Pre) Teacher Training or Retreat and is non refundable.

  1. Membership: the membership for attending yoga classes at Delight Yoga, issued or to be issued by Delight Yoga and paid or to be paid by the Student.

  1. Community Membership: the membership that entitles the Student to designated discounts and privileges at Delight Yoga. The Membership itself does not give the Student access to any yoga classes, other services or products.

  1. Single Class: a single yoga class at Delight Yoga to be attended and paid by the Student, other than on the basis of any Membership.

  1. Participant: the person who attends or wishes to attend a Retreat, (Pre-) Teacher Training or Workshop.

  1. Pre-Teacher Training: the 50-hour preparatory training offered by Delight Yoga prior to the training that trains its participants to become a yoga teacher.

  1. Price: the total price of a Workshop, (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat, including the Booking fee, teaching fees and where applicable accommodation fees.

  1. Private Class: a private yoga class at Delight Yoga, for which the Student must make an appointment in advance.

  1. Private Card: a card for 5 or 10 private classes.

  1. Retreat: a yoga retreat (including but not limited to The Body Retreat, The Heart Retreat, The Mind Retreat) organized by Delight Yoga, which can be followed on a stand-alone basis or as part of a Teacher Training

  1. Teacher: the yoga teacher who has been contracted by Delight Yoga to teach yoga classes during the (pre-) teacher training of Delight Yoga.

  1. Teacher Training: the 200-hour Basic Teacher Training, the 350+ hour Advanced Teacher Training, any modules of these programs (including but not limited to The Body Retreat, The Heart Retreat, The Mind Retreat) or any additional modules, retreats and trainings, which train its participants in their (further) development as yoga teachers.

  1. Student: a person who attends and/or wishes to attend private or group yoga classes, trainings, retreats or workshops at Delight Yoga.

  1. Website: the website of Delight Yoga: www.delightyoga.com

  1. Workshop: A yoga- or yoga-related workshop given or to be given by Delight Yoga.

  1. Academy Workshop: Workshop which is part of the Academy of Ayurvedic Studies.

  1. Scope of Application

  1. The General Terms and Conditions apply to any membership and, where applicable, to all Delight Cards, the Private Cards and Single and Private Classes of and at Delight Yoga as well as to all Retreats, (Pre-) Teacher Trainings and Workshops.

  1. By participating in a Retreat, Workshop, (Pre-) Teacher Training or yoga class of Delight Yoga, the Student agrees to the applicability of these General Terms and Conditions.

  1. Delight Yoga may from time to time amend these General Terms and Conditions. The most recent version of the Terms and Conditions is always the version that is applicable and is always available at the Website. Delight Yoga will announce any amendments to the General Terms and Conditions in advance by email.

3.Delight Unlimited Membership - Monthly (with Mysore access), Delight Unlimited Membership - Yearly (with Mysore access), Delight Cards, Private (Duo) Card 60 and 90, Online Membership and Online Cards.

Delight Yoga offers the following possibilities of attending yoga classes at Delight Yoga:

1. Delight Unlimited Membership - Monthly (with Ashtanga Mysore) and Delight Unlimited Membership - Yearly (with Ashtanga Mysore)

  1. The Monthly and Yearly Membership entitles the member to an unlimited number of yoga classes during the term of the Membership.
1.2. The minimum Membership term for the Delight Unlimited Membership Monthly is three (3) months. After the third month, the Monthly Membership is tacitly converted into a continuing agreement for an indefinite period. The minimum Membership term for the Yearly Membership is twelve (12) consecutive calendar months. After the twelve months, a Student’s Membership will automatically end. 1.3. The Membership commences on the agreed starting date and once the first payment is made by IDEAL, SEPA, Sofort or Credit Card. The next monthly cycles will be paid by credit card or direct debit (SEPA), until termination. 1.4. After the minimum term of three (3) months, the Delight Unlimited Membership - Monthly may be terminated every month. Delight Unlimited Membership - Monthly must be canceled prior to the individual renewal date in order to end membership charges. Cancellation of the Delight Unlimited Membership - Monthly must be done by sending an email to membership@delightyoga.nl. Delight Yoga will not reimburse the Student for the remainder of any paid subscription period, nor will reimbursements be made for membership cancellations prior to any renewal date. 1.5. Delight Unlimited Membership - Monthly may be put on hold for one (1), two (2) or three (3) months. This may be done by sending an email to membership@delightyoga.nl up until 1 day prior to the start of the new month's Membership. The Yearly Membership may also be put on hold for one (1), two (2) or three (3) months during the 12-month period. This month of suspension does not count for the 12-month period; i.e. if the membership is put on hold for one (1) month the end date of the contract will be extended with one (1) month. 1.6. A Student may use any Membership only in the event of payment by credit card or direct debit (SEPA). 1.7. The Membership fee will be debited from the Student’s bank account around 3-7 days after the starting day of the current Membership installment. If this starts on the 1st of the Month (e.g. 1 March), the Membership Fee will be debited between the 3rd - 7th of this month (e.g. around 5th of March). In case Delight Yoga is unable to collect the Membership Fee on the first collection moment, there will be 5 automatic retries with approximately 24hrs interval between each attempt. After 5 unsuccessful attempts, the student will be blocked from booking classes until the payment has been completed. If the Membership Fee is not paid within two weeks, 25 euros administration costs will be charged. 1.8. All Dutch Bank accounts and bank accounts from European SEPA countries are supported for the direct debit payment (monthly Membership only). Find below a list of the European SEPA countries: Åland Islands (FI), Austria (AT), Belgium (BE), Bulgaria (BG), Canary Islands (ES), Croatia (HR), Cyprus (CY), Czech Republic (CZ), Denmark (DK), Estonia (EE), Finland (FI), France (FR), French Guiana (GF), Germany (DE), Gibraltar (GI), Greece (GR), Guadeloupe (GP), Hungary (HU), Iceland (IS), Ireland (IE), Italy (IT), Latvia (LV), Liechtenstein (LI), Lithuania (LT), Luxembourg (LU), Malta (MT), Martinique (MT), Mayotte (YT), Monaco (MC), Netherlands (NL), Norway (NO), Poland (PL), Portugal (PT), Réunion (RE), Romania (RO), Saint Barthélemy (BL), Saint Martin (French part) (MF), Saint Pierre and Miquelon (PM), San Marino (SM), Slovakia (SK), Slovenia (SI), Spain (ES), Sweden (SE), Switzerland (CH), United Kingdom (GB). 1.9 Delight Unlimited Membership commences when Delight Yoga has received the Membership Fee from the Student.

2. COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP

2.1 The Community Membership entitles the member to specific benefits (i.e. discounts on designated products) as long as the student has an active Community Membership. The Community Membership itself does not give the student access to any services or products.

2.2 The minimum Membership term for the Community Membership is three (3) months. After the third month, the Community Membership is tacitly converted into a continuing agreement for an indefinite period.

2.3 The Community Membership commences on the agreed starting date and once the first payment is made by IDEAL, SEPA, Sofort or Credit Card. The next monthly cycles will be paid by credit card or direct debit (SEPA), until termination.

2.4 After the minimum term of three (3) months, the Community Membership may be terminated every month. The Community Membership must be canceled prior to the individual renewal date in order to end membership charges. Cancellation of the Community Membership must be done by sending an email to membership@delightyoga.nl. Delight Yoga will not reimburse the Student for the remainder of any paid subscription period, nor will reimbursements be made for membership cancellations prior to any renewal date.

2.5 The Community Membership cannot be put on hold.

2.6 A Student may use the Community Membership only in the event of payment by credit card or direct debit (SEPA).

2.7 The Membership fee will be debited from the Student’s bank account around 3-7 days after the starting day of the current Membership installment. If this starts on the 1st of the Month (e.g. 1 March), the Membership Fee will be debited between the 3rd - 7th of this month (e.g. around 5th of March). In case Delight Yoga is unable to collect the Membership Fee on the first collection moment, there will be 5 automatic retries with approximately 24hrs interval between each attempt. After 5 unsuccessful attempts, the student will be blocked from booking classes until the payment has been completed. If the Community Membership Fee is not paid within two weeks, 25 euros administration costs will be charged.

2.8 All Dutch Bank accounts and bank accounts from European SEPA countries are supported for the direct debit payment (monthly Membership only). 2.8 The Community Membership commences when Delight Yoga has received the Membership Fee from the Student.

3. DELIGHT SINGLE CLASS/DELIGHT TRIAL CLASS

3.1 The Delight Single Class and the Delight Trail Class are entitles the Student to one (1) yoga class.

3.2 The Delight Single Class and the Delight Trail Class are valid for one (1) month from the date of purchase. The single (1) class must therefore be attended within one (1) month of the date of purchase. After that period this right lapses.

3.3 The Delight Trial Class can be used once per student and only as a first visit of the student.

4. DELIGHT INTRODUCTION CARD

4.1 The Delight Introduction Card entitles the Student to five (5) yoga classes and can be purchased only once by new Students. A new Student may use the Delight Introduction Card only if he or she has not attended more than one (1) yoga class at Delight Yoga.

4.2 The Delight Introduction Card is valid for one (1) month from the date of purchase. The 5 (five) classes must therefore be attended within one (1) month of the date of purchase. After that period, this right lapses.

5. DELIGHT CARD 5-CLASSES / DELIGHT CARD 10-CLASSES / DELIGHT CARD 20-CLASSES

5.1 The Delight Card entitles the Student to five (5), ten (10) or twenty (20) yoga classes.

5.2 The Delight Card - 5 classes are valid for two (2) months after the first visit. The 5 classes must therefore be attended within two (2) months from the first visit. After that period, this right lapses. In case there has been no first visit within 2 months the 5 class card automatically expires. The Delight Card - 10 classes are valid for three (3) months after the first visit. The 10 classes must therefore be attended within three (3) months from the first visit. After that period, this right lapses. In case there has been no first visit within 3 months the 10 class card automatically expires. The Delight Card - 20 classes are valid for six (6) months after the first visit. The 20 classes must therefore be attended within six (6) months after the first visit. After that period, this right lapses.

5.3 5 In case there has been no first visit within 6 months the 20 class card automatically expires.

6. 1 MONTH UNLIMITED CARD

6.1 The 1 Month Unlimited Card entitles the Student to unlimited yoga classes (excluding mysore) for 30 days.

6.2 The 1 Month Unlimited is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. The classes must therefore be attended within 30 days from the date of purchase. After that period, this right lapses.

7. PRENATAL CARD

7.1 The Prenatal Card entitles the student to ten (10) prenatal yoga classes.

7.2 The Prenatal Card - 10 classes are valid for nine (9) months from the first booking. The nine (9) classes must therefore be attended within nine (9) months from the first booking. After that period, this right lapses.

8. PRIVATE (DUO) CARD 60 and PRIVATE (DUO) CARD 90

8.1 The “Private (Duo) Card 60” and the “Private (Duo) Card 90” entitle the Student to one (1), five (5) or ten (10) private yoga classes of 60 and 90 minutes, respectively.

8.2 The “Private (Duo) Card 60” and the “Private (Duo) Card 90” single (1) private class are valid for three (3) months from the date of purchase. This means that the single (1) private class must be attended within three (3) months from the date of purchase. The “Private (Duo) Card 60” and the “Private (Duo) Card 90” five (5) private classes are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase. This means that the five (5) private classes must be attended within six (6) months of the date of purchase. The “Private (Duo) Card 60” and the “Private (Duo) Card 90” ten (10) classes are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. This means that the ten (10) private classes must be attended within twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.

9. INTRODUCTION TO YOGA PROGRAM

9.1 The “Introduction to Yoga Program” entitles the Student to one (1) 2-hour introduction Workshop and three yoga classes.

9.2 The “Introduction to Yoga Program Workshop" is valid for three (3) months from the date of purchase. The introduction workshop must therefore be attended within three (3) months of the date of purchase. After that period, this right lapses. The "Introduction to Yoga Program three yoga classes" are valid for three (3) months after the date of purchase of the "Introduction to Yoga Program". The "Introduction to Yoga Program three yoga classes" must therefore be attended within three (3) months from the date of purchase. After that period, this right lapses.

10. ONLINE MEMBERSHIP MONTHLY

10.1 The “Online Membership” entitles the Student to an unlimited number of online yoga classes during the term of the Membership.

10.2 Online Classes can be viewed up to a minimum of one (1) month prior to when they have been broadcasted. Except for Zoom Classes, Zoom classes will not be recorded because of privacy reasons.

The minimum Membership term for the Monthly Online Membership is one (1) month. After the first week, a Student’s Online Membership is tacitly converted into a continuing agreement for an indefinite period.

After the minimum term of one (1) month, a Student’s Monthly Online Membership may be terminated every month. A Membership must be cancelled by sending an email to membership@delightyoga.nl prior to the renewal date in order to end membership charges. Cancellation of Online Membership must be processed by the Student through their My Delight account. Delight Yoga will not reimburse the member for the remainder of any paid subscription period, nor will reimbursements be made for membership cancellations prior to any renewal date.

10.3 The Online Membership commences on the day the first payment is made by IDEAL, Sofort or Credit Card. 9.4 The next weekly cycles will be paid by direct debit, until termination.

10.4 The Student can not freeze the Delight Online membership unless Delight is not able to deliver the online service to support it.

10.5 All Dutch Bank accounts and bank accounts from European SEPA countries are supported for the direct debit payment (monthly Membership only).   1. Payment and Price Changes

  1. All yoga classes organized by Delight Yoga must be paid for before they are held. Delight Yoga does not accept cash payments. Payments can be made by direct debit (memberships only), PIN, Credit Card (Visa, Master Card), Ideal and Sofort.

  1. As a general rule, direct debits for memberships are made monthly around 3-7 days from the starting date of the membership. If the amount cannot be collected, a student will be blocked from booking classes until payment is completed. Delight Yoga reserves the right to change the pricing of all Delight products. Any changes are announced in advance by putting up posters on the premises of Delight Yoga, by placing statements on the Website, and/or by email. The currently applicable rates are always mentioned on the website and are available for inspection at the reception desk of Delight Yoga.

  1. On presentation of an official Student card, Delight Yoga grants a 10% discount on all private and group yoga classes at Delight Yoga, except for the Introduction Card and the Membership.

  1. Before joining a yoga class, workshop or training, the Student must check in at the reception desk of Delight Yoga, or at the Teacher of an Outdoor class as the case may be. After the Delight Yoga Employee or Teacher has verified the registration and payment for the relevant yoga class, the Student is allowed to enter the class, workshop or training.

  1. Any discounts that a student is entitled to should be applied during the booking & payment process. The discount can not be applied retrospectively. I.e. once the payment has been made any unapplied discounts will not be refunded.

  1. Reservations and cancellations for yoga classes

  1. All classes are available for online booking 14 days in advance.

  1. A Student can only book classes and smaller workshops online.

  1. A confirmed booking is valid until 5 minutes before the class starts. If the Student has not checked in by then, the booking expires and the reserved spot will become available to another Student

  1. When a class is fully booked, the Student can sign up for the Waiting List. If a spot opens up, the first Student to book the class through the schedule will be notified by email.

  1. Students can cancel their booking until two (2) hours before the class starts. The Student can only cancel through the personal My Delight Account, so not by phone or email.

  1. If the Student has a Card and does not show up to the class or does not cancel it up until two (2) hours in advance, this class will be charged from the Student's card.

  1. Canceling an appointment for a private class, massage or healing can be done without charge up to 24 hours before the start of the appointment. The Student will be charged in full if the private appointment is canceled within 24 hours before the start of the appointment.

  1. Schedule

  1. The current schedule is mentioned on the Website. Delight Yoga reserves the right to change the schedule at any time. If possible, any changes are announced in advance by putting up posters in the Delight Yoga rooms, mentioning them on the Website or by email.

  1. Delight Yoga reserves the right to cancel a yoga class that has been scheduled or to change the yoga teacher mentioned in the schedule in the event of force majeure, including illness of the teacher. In the case of replacement of a teacher, there will be no refund of any Membership fee.

  1. Delight Yoga reserves the right to close its doors on public holidays or on other days, or when imposed by the government, in case of force majeure, national safety or a pandemic.

  1. Early Termination of Membership in case of illness

  1. In the event of prolonged illness or an injury, the Student may terminate the Membership early. A request for early termination must be submitted to Delight Yoga in writing and Delight Yoga reserves the right to evaluate and handle each case individually. This termination may be sent by email to info@delightyoga.nl.

  1. Treatments and Massages

1. Efforts

1.1 Delight Yoga bv will perform her treatments, guidances and massages to her best knowledge and ability, on the basis of current knowledge. 1.2 Delight Yoga will inform its clients about financial consequences of treatments as well as any amendments or supplements to the treatments.

2. Reservations and cancellations

2.1 Delight Yoga uses a computerized reservation -confirmation -and reminder system.

2.2 If the reservation cannot go ahead for whatever reason, the client should inform Delight Yoga 24 hours in advance to the booked appointment. This can be done by contacting our studios or community care directly by phone or email.

2.3 If the client fails to timely inform Delight Yoga, the treatment will be billed for the full 100%.

2.4 If the client arrives later than the agreed time at Delight Yoga, Delight Yoga may shorten the treatment but at the original price.

2.5 Delight Yoga reserves the right to cancel the treatment at any time. If the treatment is canceled by Delight Yoga, the client will be reimbursed 100% of the cost.

3. Prices and Payment

3.1 Delight Yoga states all prices of the treatments on her website and in the studio. The reported prices include VAT.

3.2 Payments can be made in advance using the online booking system by IDEAL, Credit Card or Gift Voucher.

4. Personal data and privacy

4.1 The client provides Delight Yoga prior to the first treatment of a number of personal data necessary for carefully performing the treatments. Delight Yoga treats confidential data of the client according to the guidelines of the Data Protection Act. Delight Yoga will not provide the data of the client, sell or rent to third parties.

5. Liability

5.1 Delight Yoga is not liable for damage caused by incorrect and / or incomplete information provided by the client on relevant medical conditions, medication use, work or leisure.

5.2 Delight Yoga is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings.

6. Complaints

6.1 If the client has a complaint about the treatment, this should be notified right after the treatment to the host in the studio – or if absent – within 24 hours by email to our Community Care. Delight Yoga will offer an appropriate solution.

6.2 If the client has a complaint about a product used during the treatment or purchased after a treatment, this should be notified after purchase within one week by phone or mail. Delight Yoga will offer an appropriate solution.

7. Law

Any agreement between Delight Yoga and its clients is governed by Dutch law. These conditions are filed with the Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam.

  1. Liability

  1. Attending yoga classes, Workshops, Teacher Trainings, Retreats and leaving belongings in the changing rooms are at the Student’s own risk. Delight Yoga accepts no liability for loss or damage of personal belongings of a Student attending yoga classes, workshops, trainings or retreats and leaving belongings in the changing rooms at Delight Yoga. If during a retreat or workshop the student causes loss or damage to property of the venue where the student is staying, the student will be held liable. This loss or damage is in no way covered by 2. Delight Yoga. The student is considered to have the right insurance to cover this loss or damage.

  1. Delight Yoga is not in any way liable for personal injuries sustained during yoga classes, workshops, trainings or retreats. Participating is always at the own risk of the Student.

  1. Delight Yoga provides the following guidelines for reducing the risk of an injury:

  1. Always consult a doctor before starting yoga classes if you are not sure that you are completely healthy or if you are pregnant.

  1. If you have an injury or any other physical inconvenience, always inform your yoga teacher about this before starting the yoga class.

  1. Listen to and follow the instructions of the relevant yoga teacher.

  1. Perform the yoga exercises carefully and bear your physical limitations in mind.

  1. Do not perform any yoga exercises that are painful.

  1. Ask questions if you do not understand an exercise.

  1. Avoid inverted poses during menstruation.

  1. Although we strive to only provide correct information on our website, we are not liable for any inaccuracy and no rights can be derived therefrom.

  1. Personal Data

  1. Delight Yoga collects personal data of the Students and Participants to update its membership records, to execute payment orders and for administration and information purposes. Delight Yoga handles this collection of personal data with due care and complies with the provisions of the Dutch Data Protection Act.

  1. Delight Yoga uses the personal data referred to in Clause 9.1 to inform the Students and Participants about activities of Delight Yoga and any changes in the schedule, for example. If the Student or Participant does not want to receive communications from Delight Yoga, he or she may unsubscribe from the mailing in the bottom of a received newsletter or communicate this to Delight Yoga by sending an email to info@delightyoga.nl. The Student or Participant is aware (s)he cannot use all online services and products of Delight Yoga in that case.

  1. Delight Yoga never gives any personal data of the Students or Participants to third parties without their prior written consent.

  1. Governing Law and Dispute Settlement

  1. The General Terms and Conditions are exclusively governed by Dutch law.

  1. Any disputes relating to the General Terms and Conditions, any Membership, a Delight Introduction Card, a Delight Card, a Private (Duo) Card or a Student’s attending group and private yoga classes, Workshops, Teacher Trainings or Retreats organized by Delight Yoga are settled exclusively by the competent court in Amsterdam or any higher court.

  1. Code of Conduct

  1. Students shall adhere to Delight Yoga’s code of conduct at all times:

  1. Please make sure you are clean and fresh when you attend the yoga class. The use of unscented deodorant is highly appreciated. In view of potential allergies of other Students, everyone is asked not to wear any perfume, aromatherapy oils or other scented products, and not to use any spray deodorant in the changing rooms.

  1. Delight Yoga advises not to eat later than two hours before the start of the yoga class and, in any case, not to do yoga on a full stomach.

  1. Please do not wear shoes in the yoga studios.

  1. Due to extra safety measures regarding the Covid-19 virus, we ask you to bring your own yoga mat and props when possible, and to bring covers to cover our props during yoga classes, courses and workshops. Props may be used only when covered with a clean pillow case, scarf or towel. Delight Yoga makes yoga mats available for use during yoga classes and workshops only when the Student brought a yoga mat towel to cover the mat. After classes, a yoga mat must always be cleaned thoroughly and put back by the Student who has used it.

  1. To allow everybody to find perfect inner peace, Students are requested not to talk in the yoga studio before, during and after the yoga class and to talk quietly in the other rooms.

  1. The physical and mental integrity of Students must always be respected. Racism, sexual behaviour or sexually suggestive behaviour is not tolerated by Delight Yoga.

Delight Yoga reserves the right to deny Students who do not observe the house rules referred to in Clause 11.1, to deny access to the Delight Yoga premises and to terminate the Membership of the relevant Student without a refund of any membership fee paid already.

ADDITIONAL GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR WORKSHOPS, (PRE-)TEACHER TRAININGS AND RETREATS OF DELIGHT YOGA

  1. Applicability of Additional Terms and Conditions and Definitions

  1. Retreats, (Pre-)Teacher Trainings and Workshops are governed by these Additional Terms and Conditions in addition to the General Terms and Conditions. The General Terms and Conditions form an integral part of these Additional General Terms and Conditions. By participating in a Workshop, (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat, the relevant Participant accepts the applicability of the General Terms and Conditions and the Additional General Terms and Conditions.

  1. Delight reserves the right to replace the teachers of Workshops, Retreats and (Pre-)Teacher Trainings in case of illness or injury of the original teacher without further consequences. Delight will guarantee that the replacement of a teacher will not affect the contents and quality of the training. Replacement of a teacher will therefore not be accepted as a valid reason for cancellation.

  1. Participation in Workshops and Registration

  1. A Participant may participate in a Workshop after he or she has registered for it with Delight Yoga in advance and paid the price. Registration may be affected by signing up through the website or by sending an email to info@delightyoga.nl. A spot in the Workshop is guaranteed once Delight Yoga has received payment of the price and a confirmation of the registration is received in a confirmation email.

  1. For some Workshops, an “Early Bird Rate” applies. This reduced rate applies until the date specified on the Website. After this date, the normal rate, which is also specified on the Website, applies without exception.

All participants are responsible for having the correct insurance (health, travel and/or liability) needed to participate in the workshop.

  1. Participation in (Pre-) Teacher Trainings or Retreats.

  1. A Participant may participate in a (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat after he or she has registered for it with Delight Yoga in advance and paid the Price (where applicable including accommodation) including the Booking Fee. Registration may be effected by signing up through the website or by sending an email to info@delightyoga.nl. A spot in the (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat is guaranteed after Delight Yoga has received payment of the price (where applicable including accommodation) including the Booking fee and the student has received a confirmation of the registration in a confirmation email.

  1. For some (Pre-) Teacher Trainings and Retreats, an “Early Bird Rate” applies. This reduced rate applies until the date specified on the Website. After this date, the normal rate, which is also specified on the Website, applies without exception.

  1. Payments and Prices

  1. The Price for a Workshop, Retreat or (Pre-) Teacher Training can be found on the Delight Yoga website.

  1. Payments for a Workshop, Retreat or (Pre-) Teacher Training must be made in full before the Workshop, Retreat or Teacher Training is held. Payments can be made by direct debit, IDEAL, PIN, Sofort or Credit Card (Master or Visa Card) or with credit on your Delight account as the case may be.

  1. In the event of participation in a Retreat or (Pre-) Teacher Training, the Booking Fee must be paid upon registration. During the booking process, there is an option to pay the full teaching fees at once or in installments. From these teaching fees, in case of cancellation within 4 months from the training or retreat by the student, for whatever reason and irrespective of the chosen payment option, an amount of €150 (Retreat) / €300 (Teacher Training) will automatically be considered as non-refundable booking fee. The remaining balance (where applicable including accommodation) must be paid 60 days before the Retreat or Teacher Training scheduled at the latest.

  1. Booking Fees are non-refundable when:

  • The Student cancels on his/her own initiative.
  • The Student cancels due to postponement or changed start date/time of a (Pre-) Teacher Training, Workshop or Retreat by Delight, or a changed teacher
  • The Student decides to cancel because of changes in the (Pre-) Teacher Training, Workshop or Retreat due to force majeure.
  • The workshop, (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat is canceled or postponed by Delight for reasons due to force majeure.

  1. If Delight cancels a (Pre-) Teacher Training, Workshop or Retreat for reasons other than force majeure, the Booking Fees and other payments will be refunded in full.

  1. The Price for a (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat, the corresponding Booking Fee and where applicable the accommodation fees are mentioned on the Delight Yoga Website.

  1. To complete the application for a (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat, a Booking Fee payment, or in some cases the full payment, must be made through the Delight Yoga website via iDEAL, Credit Card or Sofort.

  1. Cancellation of Workshop Registration

  1. Any participation in a scheduled Workshop may be canceled through our website within the cancellation window, after that cancellations (without refund) can be done by sending an e-mail to: info@delightyoga.nl​.

In the cancellation policy, we make a distinction between small Workshops (€0 - €250) and large Workshops (€250 - €5000).

  1. Small Workshop registrations can be canceled free of charge until one (1) month before the scheduled Workshop date.

  1. Large Workshop registrations can be canceled free of charge until two (2) months before the scheduled Workshop date.

  1. If the Participant cancels his or her registration for any workshop outside the cancellation window mentioned in 17.3 and 17.4 the Fee is non refundable.

  1. In case of force majeure like a pandemic, natural disaster, terrorist attack, etc., Delight withholds the right to postpone, to cancel or to make adjustments to Workshop without further liabilities.

  1. Cancellation of Participation in Retreat

  1. Any participation in a scheduled Retreat, whether it is followed as part of a Teacher Training or on a stand-alone basis, may be canceled only in writing. This can be done by sending an email to academy@delightyoga.nl.

  1. The Retreat Participant may cancel his or her registration free of charge until four (4) months before the scheduled Retreat.

  1. If the Participant cancels his or her Retreat between four (4) months and two (2) months before the scheduled Retreat, the booking fee will not be refunded.

  1. If the Retreat Participant cancels his or her registration within two (2) months before the start of the Retreat, the Price (including accommodation) will be charged to the participant as the case may be.

  1. If it turns out at the location of the Retreat that the Retreat Participant cannot participate in the Retreat for whatever reason, the Price (including accommodation) already paid will not be refunded.

  1. Delight Yoga reserves the right to cancel the Retreat if there are insufficient participants. In this case, the registration fee already paid by the Participants is refunded as soon as possible.

  1. In case of force majeure like a pandemic, natural disaster, terrorist attack, etc., Delight withholds the right to make adjustments to-, to postpone or to cancel the Retreat without further liabilities.

  1. Cancellation of Participation in (Pre-) Teacher Training

  1. Any participation in a scheduled (Pre-) Teacher Training or any of its connected modules may be canceled only in writing. This can be done by sending an e-mail to: academy@delightyoga.nl.

  1. The Participant shall make the Booking Fee payment for the (Pre-) Teacher Training as mentioned on the website and in Article 16.8. Subject to article 1.2, the Booking Fee payment made by the Participant will become non-refundable after a cooling-off period of 14 days.

  1. The Participant may cancel his/her registration for the (Pre-) Teacher Training with a full refund of the amount paid (minus the Booking fee), until two (2) months prior to the start date of the first module of the training. This can be done by sending an e-mail to: academy@delightyoga.nl.

  1. In the case the Participant cancels their registration for the (Pre-) Teacher Training within two (2) months prior to its commencement, the Full Price will not be refunded, or the Full Price will be charged to the Participant, as the case may be.

  1. Delight Yoga reserves the right to cancel the (Pre-) Teacher Training or any of its modules if there are insufficient participants. In this case, the Price already paid by the Participants is refunded.

  1. In case of force majeure like a pandemic, natural disaster, terrorist attack, etc., Delight withholds the right to make adjustments to the Training, to postpone or to cancel the Training without further liabilities.

  1. Workshop and (Pre-) Teacher Training Schedule

  1. The current Workshop and (Pre-) Teacher Training Schedule can always be found on the Website. Delight Yoga reserves the right to change the schedule at any time. If applicable, any changes are announced in advance by putting up posters in the Delight Yoga studios, mentioning them on the Website or by email.

  1. Delight Yoga reserves the right to cancel a scheduled Workshop, (Pre-) Teacher Training in the event of force majeure (including illness of the relevant teacher). In this case, the booking fee already paid is refunded.

  1. Health

  1. The (Pre-) Teacher Trainings and Retreats have an intensive schedule and curriculum that is physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding. By participating, the Participant declares that he/she is healthy on a medical and mental-health level and is ready to fully participate in the demands of the program of the (Pre-) Teacher Trainings or the Retreats as the case may be. Additionally, the Participant must be able to support the group learning process. The Participant may be requested to leave the (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat, as the case may be, if it is determined by the Teachers that his/her participation would in any way compromise a safe and cohesive learning environment.

  1. By participating in the (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreats , as the case may be, the Participant declares that he/she is aware that it is his/her own responsibility to take care of his/her own health and well-being during such training at all times.

  1. In addition to the stipulations of article 21.1, Delight Yoga reserves the right to require clinical evaluations or other information to competently evaluate the Participant's medical and/or mental-health preparedness.

  1. Liability

  1. Delight Yoga shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damages in connection with, or resulting from, participation in the (Pre-) Teacher Training or the Retreats, as the case may be.

  1. The Participant will never engage Delight Yoga, the Teachers, or any of the supporting staff, in legal proceedings relating to possible damages in whatever form, that may be the result of participation in the (Pre-) 3. Teacher Trainings or Retreats, as the case may be.

  1. Delight Yoga only works with qualified yoga teachers and will always offer yoga classes of the highest quality. Nonetheless, there is always a risk of injury involved when taking a yoga class. By participating in the (Pre-) Teacher Trainings or Retreats, as the case may be, the Participant accepts such risk of injury. Delight Yoga offers the following guidelines to diminish the risk of injury:

  1. Consult with a physician when you are not sure you are completely healthy, or if you are pregnant, before starting to take yoga classes.

  1. If you have an injury, or other physical issue, inform the yoga teacher thereof before you start your yoga class.

  1. Listen to and follow the instructions of the yoga teacher.

  1. Be conservative when exercising yoga and listen to your physical limitations.

  1. Don’t do any exercises that are painful.

  1. Ask questions when you do not understand an exercise.

  1. Applicable law, dispute resolution

  1. Dutch law applies exclusively to the General Terms and Conditions.

  1. Any disputes in connection with the General Terms and Conditions, or the participation in a Workshop, Retreat or (Pre-) Teacher Training or Retreat, as the case may be, will be resolved exclusively by a certified mediator in Amsterdam (Netherlands).
