With her academic background in Asian studies, Annabel has always had a particular interest in Eastern thought and philosophy. Her studies on Buddhism eventually led her to explore yoga and meditation. The combination of devotion, philosophy, and moving meditation is what drew Annabel to Astanga.


Ever since that first class in 2013, Ashtanga provided an invaluable anchor and method for self-exploration. Annabel completed a 200hr training with Claudia Pradella and Eva Ugolini in 2017 and has also studied traditional Thai massage techniques. She has received guidance from various teachers including Megan Riley, Jurre Twijnstra, Boonchu Tanti, Yan Ong, Manuel Ferreira, Sharmila Desai, and Saraswathi Jois in Mysore.


“We spend so much of our time projecting outward, Yoga practice is invaluable time spent turning within”, Annabel says.


Her classes emphasize the immersive and meditative qualities of the Ashtanga practice and guide students to find stillness within through cultivating a personal practice.
