Anne began practicing yoga to gain physical flexibility and to relieve stress caused by her hectic professional life back home in Montreal (Canada). She never imagined it would be the start of a journey that would impact every facet of her life – developing flexibility in a comprehensive and holistic sense.
Her path led her to complete her RYT 200hr teacher’s training in Bali. Anne has since trained in Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow, Yin yoga, Ayurveda and Yoga therapy with Sivananda Yoga and Thai Yoga Massage.
Anne believes that yoga is about the connection of mind & body and that what lies behind the asana, is mental & physical awareness. In the exploration of yoga and meditation, she is convinced that accepting the challenges of life requires an open heart and flexibility of mind. With this approach, she shares her classes with her students, as a journey to mental & physical mindfulness. The emphasis of her classes is based on linking breath to movement, with an attention to alignment, mind-calming concentration and most of all having fun!
Her dynamic yet comforting presence, enthusiasm and intensity, lead students through a practice that is genuine and rewarding. Her goal is for students to leave class feeling empowered yet serene, refreshed, happy and inspired.
