Get to know the people of Delight Yoga

Daniel Kocherga & Lydia Aytogmus

A dedicated Astanga yoga practitioner, Daniel started practicing yoga in 2012, being inspired by watching an astanga demonstration video. Along with his asanas practice, he also begun cultivating the interest in relevant philosophy literature which is often written in Sanskrit. Struggling with the fact that existing translations of a same text, often give different interpretations of the meaning, Daniel decided to start his own research and begun the study of the sanskrit language first hand. For the last two years he has been studying classic yogic texts as well as some pieces of Sanskrit poetry, as a way to understand the deeper context of yoga practice, to find inspiration and to better understand the culture of people living centuries ago. Daniel loves to share his sanskrit knowledge as a way to inspire others into the vast knowledge of the yogic tradition.

Lydia sees Yoga as a holistic, radical approach to inner peace, simply by means of looking inside. Yoga is for her a daily invitation to an endless deepening of inner peace and joy. Lydia loves to share her knowledge of the yogic tools of movement of the body (Asana),  breathing (Pranayama), devotion (Bhakti), meditation (Dhyana), deep listening (Nada) and the exploration of the traditional texts of yoga (Shastra). In teaching, she is inspired to share the obvious, so that the unobvious can continue to unfold. Lydia shows deep reverence for the teachings of yoga and passionately shares it with mantras & music.
