“All I needed was balance”, Deborah concludes for herself. “Working in the fashion industry, I was dedicated to meet peoples demand for perfection, including my own. To strive is a muscle, and mine got injured at one point. As the injury literally exposed in my body too (shin splints), I got in touch with an Osteopath and deepened my Yoga practice. This turned out to be the beginning of a beautiful path, I enjoy being on every day. Ok, no, in pure honesty, almost every day.”  Deborah admits that her lifestyle shift has affected her income. Especially in the beginning. Working as a model, her clients expected her to be a certain size that was hard to maintain in this more low key version of herself that allowed to her to let go and relax. “But luckily the industry is getting more and more open to the beauty of a bodies’ shape, without being so tight up to what it measures”, she explains. She continues to work in the modelling industry, but envisions a role of personal guidance and support.
