Dr. Nida Chenagtsang

Dr. Nida Chenagtsang born in Amdo, Tibet, had always been interested in the traditional medicine of his people. He began his medical training in youth, apprenticing with local doctors in his nomadic region. He went on to graduate from the Tibetan Medical University in Lhasa and study with some of the foremost traditional doctors in Tibet. Dr. Nida also is a practitioner of the Ngakpa Tradition of Tibetan yogis, and has learned and practiced Tibetan Buddhism under many great masters, especially the teachings relating to healing. Fluent in English, Dr. Nida has a unique ability to communicate the subtleties of this ancient tradition to Westerners. As director and teacher of the International Academy for Traditional Tibetan Medicine (IATTM), Dr Nida travels around the globe spreading the healing wisdom of Tibet. He has also founded the International Ngak-Mang Institute an active organization working to preserve the Ngakpa tradition of Tibetan Yogis.
