James French


James is a yoga teacher who teaches workshops, retreats and trainings internationally. He lives mostly in India, where he spends his time studying, practicing and running his school Path of Yoga. Twice a year he returns to teach workshops across Europe.

He practices a challenging, creative flow with focus on strength, stability and alignment to attain states of union between mind, body and spirit. James has a particular interest in Psycho-spiritual work, and the way that emotions and are stored in the body and how we can release them to promote deeper well-being and healing. He also incorporates the more subtle, pranic aspects of Hatha Yoga, Chakra work and Classical Kundalini as a route to liberation and inner peace.


James has taught over 20 yoga teacher trainings and continues to further his studies and work on himself. He has received over 1000 hours of training and also assists his teachers Jason Crandell and Max Strom. His other major influences are Yogrishi Vishvketu, Anodea Judith, Clive Sheridan and Sri Prem Baba. 

James is well known for his intelligent sequencing, creativity, good humour and inspirational method of bringing together Traditional Hatha with a holistic, science-based approach to Vinyasa.

A unique opportunity to dive within the Infinite Universe of the Mind: a 10 day silent retreat, by Satya Katiza and Kevin Sahaj at D'Alijo Yoga Retreat Centre in Portugal. We will investigate the Mind as true scientists within our own laboratory. The philosophical ground of practice will be based on non-dual practices, Buddhism, and Tantra. It can be followed individually or in combination with the Advanced Teacher Training.
