Trained in social and organizational psychology, Jasmijn was thrilled to discover yoga at age 25. A few years later she completed the vinyasa ashtanga yoga teacher training (300+ hrs). She has been teaching yoga ever since: vinyasa flow, yin yoga, yin flow and slow flow. Her teaching style, both in intensive vinyasa and yin yoga, is inspired by yoga teacher Max Strom, who centres yoga practice around the breath. Jasmijn regularly attends workshops with different teachers to deepen her insight and practice, as well as her teaching skills.

Jasmijn’s teaching is characterized by her friendly approach and intensive individual guidance, as she offers modifications in accordance with students’ physical capabilities. Emphasising breath-work, her classes are both intense and relaxing. A dedicated meditator herself, Jasmijn integrates meditation in her classes by allowing space for stillness in and between poses.

Thai yoga massage and specific therapeutic forms of yoga are the subjects she is currently engaged with. Besides, she collaborates with author Geertje Couwenbergh in workshops combining yoga and creative writing. These workshops are regularly offered at Delight Yoga.
