Liisa’s yoga journey began in 2005 in London where she discovered the balancing benefits of yoga for body and mind in a traditional Hatha class. Since then, she has practised extensively and trained as a Vinyasa, Hatha & Yin teacher in Power Living studios in Sydney, Australia with Duncan Peak, Tiffany Cruikshank, Maty Ezraty and Kathryn Budig. Now settled in Amsterdam, yoga is truly her lifestyle that she aspires to share with others.
Always passionate, warm and committed, Liisa creates a vigorous practice helping students to find their edge. Her classes reflect her personality – energetic, fun loving and playfully creative. Her aim is to bring students back into their bodies and out of their heads, to get people moving in a way that is energizing, strengthening and nourishing. To live a life that is not just existing through the days, but really living!!
About Anne Vida Ikeda
Anne initially began practicing yoga to relieve stress and balance her hectic professional life back home in Montreal, Canada. Yoga has since become her journey that would impact every facet of her life, inspiring her to learn presence, patience, compassion, self-love and much more.
Now making Amsterdam her home, Anne teaches a variety of classes including Vinyasa flow, Hatha, Yin/Yang and Yin yoga. As a life-long yoga student, her classes are inspired by her continuous studies of Ayurveda, Chakra energy system, Yoga philosophy, Chinese medicine concepts and Meridian lines, Mindfulness and Thai yoga massage.
She believes that yoga is about the connection of mind & body and that what lies behind the asana, is pure awareness. In the exploration of yoga and meditation, she is convinced that accepting the challenges of life requires an open heart, a keen awareness and a flexibility of mind. With this approach, she shares her classes with her students, as a journey to mindful living.
Inspired by Ayurveda and TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) theories, and with a nourishing, calming and light-spirited touch, Anne leads students into practices that are genuine and empowering. Her classes range from deepening and meditative yin practices to energizing and strengthening yang practices.
Anne’s aim is to create a supportive environment for students to explore their own bodies & minds and to discover a sense of liberation and creativity. Her goal is for students to leave class feeling empowered yet serene, refreshed, happy and inspired.
