Michiel (1979) changed his working career in 2003 when he discovered the art of massage. He followed intense trainings in Deep-Tissue massage and soon realised this was his path. Working with people on a deeper level with the healing power of touch was the way to go for him. After giving up his job in recruitment consultancy, he started his own massage company. Many study trips to Asia, America and within Europe followed, through which he gained experience in Deep-Tissue, Thai Yoga, Shiatsu & Chinese medicine, Sports and Chair massage.

After being introduced to yoga Michiel engaged in its study by taking the Vinyasa Flow (Hatha based) teacher training in the US with Frog Lotus Yoga. After that he trained with Paul & Suzee Grilley to become a Yin Yoga Teacher. Besides, he has participated in workshops and trainings with many special teachers such as Shiva Rea, Simon Park, John Friend & Desi Springer, Anat Geiger, José de Groot, Gayle Olson and Wade Gotwals.

Technique, breathwork, alignment, mindfulness and flow are important aspects of Michiel’s teaching.
