Olga Derks

On the brink of turning 25, Olga started to experience a lot of loneliness. This made her confused: she had lots of friends and family, so why did she feel so alone in this world? Looking for answers on an academic level gave her some insight. But the feeling of being alone didn’t exactly change... Later on, a kind friend listening to her troubles, suggested she’d give yoga at Delight a try. So Olga did, starting with a yin yang class. From that moment on, she was in love. The kind words spoken by the teacher, the power she felt from shaping her body, the freedom in being just who she was… it opened so many feelings of kindness and compassion! But foremost, she started listening to her inner being. With every week a new revelation on her yoga mat, she opened up to find that the relationship she strived to have with others, first needed to be established with herself. And from this point the loneliness that could be so hindering, started to give place for connectedness with every being. 
Now a host at Delight Yoga, she strives in being a wholehearted yogi, with the intention to take care of her body and mind with compassion and warmth. Knowing that every journey has its own complexity, she hopes to learn from and inspire others. Soham _/|\_
