Saske Wentink

Astanga LedAstanga Mysore

Saske started practicing yoga during her (surf)travels in 2008. After practicing yoga around the world for a year, Saske wanted more deepening and in 2010 she went to Kathmandu, Nepal for her first TTC. She was very much inspired by her teacher Chintamani Gautam, but had not found her own practice yet. That changed in the autumn of 2010, when she got in touch with Lilian Vrolijk, who was practicing ashtanga for some time already, and together they build up a solid practice in a couple of months. Every morning at 5.30 am they would meet and practice their asana’s (mysore style) and afterwards talk about life, love and yoga.
Ever since Saske is practicing ashtanga yoga and in 2011 she has done the TTC in Eindhoven with Claudia Pradella and Janneke Verburg-Wiersma.  After practicing for a week with R. Sharath Jois during his summer European tour in 2011 in London, Saske went to Mysore, India in january 2012 and October 2012, for respectively 2 and 4 months to practice with Sharath again. To gain more knowledge about the human body, the yoga sutra’s and hatha yoga she did TTC with Noah McKenna. She loves to attend workshops with Petri Raisanen when he is around and she hopes to return to Mysore again one day, when her two daughters (born in 2014 and 2016) are older.

Saske is caring and open minded and loves to share her knowledge and experiences.

The Pranayama Journey

With Arno Nistal Ten Veen

03 June 2017

Typically, we only use 30 percent of our full breathing potential. Because our breath is connected to prana (or life-force), this results in a continuous lack of energy. Additionally, 70 percent of our detox processes happen through our breath.
