Get to know the people of Delight Yoga

Yvonne Limburg

Yvonne’s quest for answers to life’s big questions started in the ‘70s with Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh (Osho). She visited his ashrams in India and the United States, where she experienced her first satori. Continuing her quest  with the study of Zen and Kabbalah, she also took classes in reiki and aura reading, practiced Chi Gung and participated in a 10 days’ silent retreat in Thailand, together with her son Wessel.

Yoga has always been part of Yvonne’s life, but it was not until she participated in a yoga retreat with Kristin on a small island off the Norwegian coast that she became impassioned with yoga. She took more yoga retreats in Bali and the United States with her daughter Marije, from whom she also received The Reconnection. Visits to the Kripalu Centre for Yoga and Health in Massachussetts firmly established her in the practice of yoga asana and philosophy.

‘Off the mat’ Yvonne has worked as an interpreter/translator in the field of Modern Art. She is happy and proud to contribute to Delight Yoga by editing and translating texts for the website.

The Pranayama Journey

With Arno Nistal Ten Veen

Typically, we only use 30 percent of our full breathing potential. Because our breath is connected to prana (or life-force), this results in a continuous lack of energy. Additionally, 70 percent of our detox processes happen through our breath.
