If you read my previous blog posts on Muladhara and Svadhistana, you know what’s coming next! The third chakra: Manipura, known as the Solar Chakra in English.
Located at your core, it is the seat of your power in which you find self-esteem, sense of purpose, personal identity, and individual will.
####Manipura represents a place where you access your PURPOSE.
As the element of this chakra is fire, it gives you the empowerment to transform, grow, and act in your life. These gifts manifest as:
Confidence: Directing your light and gaining unwavering belief in your practice and your actions.
Choice: Healing the victim inside of you to make empowering and bold choices.
Purpose: Discovering what your soul came here to learn and evolve to start serving the world with your gifts.
When Manipura is in healthy alignment, you’ll feel comfortable with your own inherent power and feel empowered. You will have a sense of who you are and why you are here. When you connect with your purpose in life, you gain a deeper understanding of how you as an individual can contribute to the collective.
Sometimes it takes big life changes like losing a job, your savings, or anything that you depend on to define who you are. Over-valuing and depending on anything that is subject to change will inevitably lead to suffering. Know that you have inherent value, and maybe through your yoga practice investigate your internal sources of happiness.
I love this quote from Oprah Winfrey that I also featured in my upcoming book ANGELUS: “Everybody has a calling. Your real job in life is to figure out why you are here and get about the business of doing it.”
I know it can be hard to admit when your purpose is undefined or when misdirected effort is burning you out. So to de-clutter your personality and awaken to your soul’s highest calling, take a step back and ask yourself two things:
*What am I here to do? What is my higher purpose? *
What do I value in my life?
It might take a while to answer these, so don’t rush. Take the time to think about your unique gifts as well as your weaknesses. Think about what you’re proud of in your life, and think about what lasting fulfilment looks like for you.
This age-old quest to discover what your soul came to learn and evolve is your most essential journey in life.
Let Manipura support you as you take charge and gain confidence on this path to your purpose. The fire of your calling commands you to make conscious and powerful choices. Lead yourself to greatness through service and apply your gifts to something larger.
No matter what career, family, or finance dream you have for yourself, know that there is a Universal force at work in your spiritual centre, leading you toward an even higher purpose.
