December is a very powerful month astrologically, bringing a major shift.
With the Total Solar Eclipse on 14th December, we are starting fresh. After the last Lunar Eclipse, which gave us a point of completion and release, this Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius is like a super-charged new moon. The moon will fully cover the sun in a Total Solar Eclipse, creating not only a new beginning – but opening a completely fresh chapter!
Just a week after the eclipse, on December 21st, we will experience a rare and powerful planetary alignment. This is exactly the day of the Winter Solstice, an auspicious time that marks a turning point in the solar year. It is the beginning of a new cycle – bringing the rebirth of the light after the longest night in the Northern Hemisphere.
On this very day Saturn and Jupiter, two planets that were linked to the major transformations we’ve experienced in 2020, are aligning in a “Great Conjunction”. Having just moved signs from Capricorn into Aquarius, they are coming together at 0 degrees of Aquarius. This powerful alignment will even be visible with the naked eye and marks the beginning of an 800-year cycle.
The Total Solar Eclipse on the 14th brings the first shift and will be a powerful time to set your intentions.
The sign of Sagittarius, the archer, is ruled by Jupiter. Its energy is expansive and adventurous – inviting us to go beyond what we’ve known, explore new possibilities, and seek higher knowledge. As a fire sign, Sagittarius invites us to initiate and dream big.
