Astrid's love for yoga started many years ago, during her first yoga class at Delight Yoga Weteringschans. The introduction to yoga felt like a gift, providing the balance in life she was looking for.
A children’s workshop yoga, that’s where it all started. At the age of 13 Ellemiek attended a yogaclass where she did her first asana’s and learned the colors of the seven chakras. Even though she didn’t realize what she was actually doing at the moment she knew she found a feeling of peace and joy.
Coming from a spiritual background, with her mother being a Tai Chi instructor and her stepfather a Reiki master, yoga was quite the logical path to follow. But it took a while for her to discover this.
The year 2017 turned out to be the starting point of Jan’s spiritual path. His curiosity and open attitude has led him to different styles of yoga, many teachers, Ayurveda and breathwork.
Changed the game, that is what she did. Jody started to choose differently in all walks of life. Early June this year finding herself realizing after another black out it is time, time for a whole new and different approach. Something inside of her has shifted that specific moment for good.
Laura took her first yoga class ever at Delight and this changed her whole experience with yoga and therefore with herself. “Wow this is challenging, it gives me joy and it’s so satisfying!” is what she thought.
Liza has been working in the corporate field, but always felt a bit restless and unfulfilled in the life she was actually living. After going through a very difficult time, she had the feeling that there was more to life and started to deepen her own yoga practice.
Roos started practicing Yoga at Delight Yoga in 2018. And it has almost been a daily part of her life ever since. In the beginning, she mostly practised Astanga Led, but at the moment Roos is mostly focused on Hatha and Vinyasa.
Stephanie began her exploration with yoga in 2004, aged 14. Achieving high goals on a young age, she mainly learned how to connect with the outer world that left her feeling burnt-out. Yoga showed her how to live life that feels good on the inside.
