Astrid's love for yoga started many years ago, during her first yoga class at Delight Yoga Weteringschans. The introduction to yoga felt like a gift, providing the balance in life she was looking for.
A children’s workshop yoga, that’s where it all started. At the age of 13 Ellemiek attended a yogaclass where she did her first asana’s and learned the colors of the seven chakras. Even though she didn’t realize what she was actually doing at the moment she knew she found a feeling of peace and joy.
Coming from a spiritual background, with her mother being a Tai Chi instructor and her stepfather a Reiki master, yoga was quite the logical path to follow. But it took a while for her to discover this.
The year 2017 turned out to be the starting point of Jan’s spiritual path. His curiosity and open attitude has led him to different styles of yoga, many teachers, Ayurveda and breathwork.

Marlot was born as youngest of three in Den Bosch in 1990. Ever since she can remember she followed her intuition. This made her quit her job as a production manager in Fashion, and led her to exploring the world of the Veda and Yoga in India.
Maxime came in contact with yoga many years ago by seeing her mother practice even before the dogs would open their sleepy eyes. Silly, she thought, getting up earlier voluntarily to do funny poses. Yoga was definitely not love at first sight.

Om haar energie een boost te geven en rust te vinden begon ze met het beoefenen van yoga.
Roos started practicing Yoga at Delight Yoga in 2018. And it has almost been a daily part of her life ever since. In the beginning, she mostly practised Astanga Led, but at the moment Roos is mostly focused on Hatha and Vinyasa.
Who am I? At a young age Royce knew his heart wish was to serve all beings. Struggling with how to implement this in every day life, he found that to truly help others, he first needed to listen to his own heart. Through experience Royce learned how easy it is to outrun yourself and ended up in a burnout in 2010.
After working in the creative field for some years, Sophie felt it was time for something else. She booked a ticket to Portugal to learn more about ‘living with less’. After one year spending most of her time watching the process of nature, practising yoga and meditation, she realised this was something to hold on to. Delight Yoga could not cross her path at a better time when she returned back to the city. ‘Everything we are looking for is already there or coming our way, we just need to trust and keep our eyes open’.
Stephanie began her exploration with yoga in 2004, aged 14. Achieving high goals on a young age, she mainly learned how to connect with the outer world that left her feeling burnt-out. Yoga showed her how to live life that feels good on the inside.
