Alexandra Kool was born in The Hague in 1985. 12 years ago she moved to Amsterdam and felt right at home. She decided to start her own upholstery and called it Koolstof. After 3 years she decided that she wanted to use the skills of her hands to help people instead of furniture. That moment she went into college to become a Shiatsu therapist. Last year she became a mother of a little girl Evi. She loves being a mother and uses yoga and meditation to have some Alexandra time.
For 5 years she travelled around the world, initially thinking to follow the typical backpacker trail, but instead ended up spending time in monasteries and ashrams in Asia and Australia where she attended meditation retreats in the Tibetan Buddhism tradition, and got introduced to Yoga.
Githa’s love for yoga started during a cloudy and dark period of her life. Her father had lung cancer. Before he passed away, she had seen him fighting and suffering for two years. What she didn't know yet, is that she had been fighting too. Not against the illness, but against her feelings of fear and injustice.
During childhood Josephine was introduced to yoga and spirituality while growing up within a creative nest. And since the creative existence tends to be slightly unconventional, she was taught from early age that life and its experiences are fluent and that things do not necessarily always turn out as expected.
Khadija was born in Morocco and this country awakened a deep connection with nature within her from a young age. The connection with nature stimulated her curiosity in the seasons and the food that nature brings with it. That is why she started to specialize herself as a holistic nutritionist. She follows the nature in all facets of life, to keep balanced and connect with every single part of the universe. Yoga is a big part of her life since she was young. Growing up in a big family in the middle of nature, she already started to meditate. She created her own space to take time to feel and be in silence.
During a difficult period in her life, Laurien came in contact with yin yoga. It helped here overcome a trauma and made her realise that staying true to yourself is the most important thing in life.
Born in Hoorn on 23rd of august 1984 Max has always been a truthseeker. After getting connected with meditation, he was able to feel the connection with spirit.
Out of genuine interest in the unity of humankind and the way people create meaning to this life through their nature and culture, Pebbles has recently finished her study Cultural Anthropology in Amsterdam. Focusing mainly on religion, she will now continue her study by following a master’s degree in Spiritual Care. Even though having no clue where this study will take her, Pebbles is very excited to deepen her knowledge of theology and philosophy in this matter.
Quinty is an avid traveler, animal-lover and yogini. She worked in the corporate world for several years and decided last year to say goodbye to her job and follow her heart: Explore the world and go traveling for half a year throughout Africa and Central-America. Her love for traveling combines perfectly with yoga as they both let her connect with Nature (within and without) and other beautiful souls from all around the world.
Deadlines halen, lange dagen maken en steeds weer met nieuwe ideeën komen – hoe blij Ratna ook was met haar uitdagende baan als marketing manager, ze realiseerde zich ook dat ze er uiteindelijk niet gelukkig van zou worden. Om haar energie een boost te geven en rust te vinden begon ze met het beoefenen van yoga.
Already as a little child child Sara loved to travel and was interested in different cultures and their way of living. No wonder she started studying History. Right now she is finishing up her studies with the specialisation Globalisation and she is looking forward to discover where her yoga journey will take her.
Sarah Mead was born in Haarlem on a tropical summer day in late August 1989. She’s an Amsterdam based make up artist who’s always on the lookout for the sacred and beautiful things in life.
Sibel Özen was born in Amsterdam in 1993. She discovered the world of yoga while traveling around the world after high school, and it has played a big role in her life ever since.

After working in the creative field for some years, Sophie felt it was time for something else. She booked a ticket to Portugal to learn more about ‘living with less’. After one year spending most of her time watching the process of nature, practising yoga and meditation, she realised this was something to hold on to. Delight Yoga could not cross her path at a better time when she returned back to the city. ‘Everything we are looking for is already there or coming our way, we just need to trust and keep our eyes open’.
Stefanie has a background in dance, meditation and yoga. She is studying to become a dance and movement therapist and yoga teacher.
While traveling Nepal in 2014, Tessa experienced her first Astanga Yoga class and immediatly fell in love. Her journey within started and from that moment on her lifestyle changed dramatically.

Iets waar het voor Valérie allemaal om draait: de vereniging van het spirituele, het fysieke en het Goddelijke.
Yemanja started her yoga practice at Delight in 2011. She soon felt very comfortable in the serene and friendly environment. Currently she is finishing her master’s degree in psychology. During her exchange in San Francisco, she was lucky to experience the practice of Rocket Vinyasa.
