Basic Teacher Training
200 hrs training in Portugal and Amsterdam 16 - 30 July 2021 & 6 - 12 September 2021
The two retreat weeks of the Basic Teacher Training will be guided by Satya Katiza & Kevin Sahaj. The last week with its focus on teaching skills will be guided by Satya Katiza & Adela Serrano. They will be supported by two assistants who have been working with Satya and Sahaj regularly.
Astanga Led, (Restorative) Hatha, Vinyasa, Meditation, Satsang
Satya Katiza is a yogini in heart and soul. She is an experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (ERYT 500-RYT 500) and licensed to certify students at the 200 & 500 hour levels.
Healing Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama, Ayurveda
Kevin Sahaj is a dedicated yoga practitioner who has been studying and practicing yoga for 30 years. His approach to teaching is eclectic and draws from a.o. (Tibetan) Buddhism and shamanistic traditions, Qi-Gong and Yantra Yoga, to help students align their lives towards awakening.
Hatha, Vinyasa, Yoga Basics
Adela Serrano is a certified Iyengar teacher. She will share her extensive anatomy knowledge and expertise in injury prevention and injury recovery, along with other essential teaching skills necessary to confidently stand and be present in front of students, privately or in a group class. According to the traditional teachings of Krishnamacharya, she teaches how to bring attention to anatomy, poses and actions as a way to access a more refined body and mind awareness.

Als voormalig econoom en bankdirecteur ontdekte Adela de kracht van yoga in 2006 toen ze in New York woonde. Ze behaalde de 500 hrs RYT certificatie bij Yoga Alliance via het Yoga Works Teacher Training programma in New York.
Kevin Sahaj wijdt zijn leven al 30 jaar aan het bestuderen en beoefenen van yoga. Zijn manier van lesgeven is eclectisch: hij maakt gebruik van veel verschillende methodes om zijn studenten te helpen bij hun streven naar verlichting.
