Studio News: Introducing Free Community Yoga Classes in Amsterdam
by Delight Yoga
Yoga is for everyone
Yoga is for everyone. Yes, we truly believe that. We feel it is important to make yoga more accessible and inclusive.
To support the path to a more inclusive yoga world, we are happy to announce that we will offer Community Yoga classes in Amsterdam twice a week as of September.
With our Community Yoga classes, Delight Yoga is aiming to make the ancient teachings of yoga accessible to everyone, including those who can’t afford to come to our classes regularly.
Free Community Yoga Classes
The Community Yoga classes are meant for those who don’t have the means to come to yoga classes regularly. The class will be held every Monday and Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00. Delight Yoga Weteringschans 53 in Amsterdam.
The class will be led by Delight teachers and graduates of the Delight Teacher Training (500+ hours). The class style may vary depending on the teacher, but every class will include physical poses (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation. Each teacher will share their wisdom, experience and teachings with you for a series of 6 weeks.
You are free to join only once or every week. Just as you like.
All level classes: beginners welcome!
No prior knowledge or experience with yoga is needed. The class is always accessible for complete beginners, but the teacher will offer modifications and variations for more experienced students too. Just wear some comfortable clothes to move in, a yoga mat (or yoga towel to cover our mat), a pillowcase or towel to cover our props and you are all set.
All classes are free of charge and will be taught in English.
Spread the word
Are you or do you know anyone who wants to do yoga, but can’t afford it at this moment? We would like to ask you to help us spread the word. Sign up per 1 September through the regular schedule: www.delightyoga.nl/schedule
