Summer is here again - and so is Delight Yoga!
Today is the day we've been waiting for; the day we finally reopen our studios for the first time since we had to shut our doors in March. We were able to get through all of the ups and downs over these past few months because of the kindness and strength shown by our community - and we are so grateful for your support.
Our reopening comes with many changes, and this newsletter will help clarify all of these adjustments. You’ll find our precautionary health measures below, as well as a full list of practical updates that will explain how Delight’s studios and schedules have adapted to this new situation. We've also improved our offerings - with your new membership, you’ll be able to choose from studio classes, online classes, and outdoor classes at hidden sanctuaries - or even beach yoga!
Whichever option you choose - we can’t wait to see you soon.

Theme of the Month: Buddha's Teachings: The Eightfold Path - 3. Right Speech (Samma vaca)
"As I'm writing about the Right Speech, I have to start by being honest. The first version of this article was originally focused on ‘singing mantras for compassion’, but the events of the past few weeks have changed the way I see things, and this no longer felt like the right focus. With all the protests going on in the world right now, my perspective on what ‘Right Speech’ means has also changed. I want to use this month’s theme to focus on the importance of speaking up against injustice in the world."

Stay home if you have symptoms
Stay home if you have any of the following symptoms: cold symptoms, coughing, shortness of breath, elevated temperature or fever, or the sudden loss of taste and smell.
Respect social distancing
Keep 1.5-meter distance while at Delight, keep a safe and respectful distance from other students, teachers, and hosts. This starts when you walk in the door to check-in. When you enter the studio, follow the marks on the floor, and use the designated spots in the shala to place your mat.
Bring your own yoga mat or yoga towel, towels, and props
In case you would like to use our props, bring a pillowcase or towel to protect the surface (this does not apply to eye pillows and straps). Please bring your yoga mat to the studio, or bring a yoga towel to place on top of one of our mats. Yoga mats are also available for purchase in the Delight Shop.
Change and shower at home
Change and shower at home, the changing rooms have a limit on their capacity and are gender-neutral. Please note that they are only available to store belongings, as we ask you to change and shower at home.

**For all workshops, a Delight membership discount of 30% applies as part of the membership benefits. Note that the membership benefits are not available for Online Members and Off-Peak Members.
- The schedule for studio classes, outdoor classes & online classes is now available! We are still preparing the technical side of things for our re-opening, so it might be that you are experiencing issues with booking classes. Please try again a bit later as we might have solved things for you too...
- Please bring your own mat, blanket(s) or towel(s), bottle and props to class so we can all contribute to a safe a clean way to practice in the studios.
- Please be mindful of your registrations. We no longer offer a waiting list or walk-in spots, so please make sure you can attend the class or cancel in time (up to 2 hours beforehand) so that somebody else can get your spot. With our limited capacity, we want to make sure as many people get the chance to practice with us again.
- Delight Yoga Weteringschans will not yet be used for regular group classes. The location will, for now, mainly be used for workshops and trainings.
