Lunar Eclipse in Gemini

by Simona Schimanovich

We are entering the final eclipse season of 2020 with the Lunar Eclipse on November 30th. The full moon will be partially covered by the Earth’s shadow. Eclipses are said to bring great transformation; they are portals for accelerated growth taking us to where we are meant to be.

A lunar eclipse amplifies the energy of a full moon – representing a major point of completion and release. As we come to the close of this powerful year, something that is not aligned in your life anymore might fall away – sometimes in a sudden or abrupt way. Even if this isn’t what we had imagined, eclipses always take us back to our highest path if we had lost our way.

Falling into Gemini, the sign of the twins, that is ruled by Mercury, this lunar eclipse shines a light on the areas of communication, technology and the mind.

As an air sign, Gemini moves fast and in all directions, which can leave us feeling distracted, anxious, or overwhelmed with too much information. This sign might remind you of the ‘monkey mind’ that keeps jumping around, doesn’t stop, repeating the same old critical voice in our head. This lunar eclipse can support us to shed our old ways of thinking or communicating that we have outgrown on our journey in 2020.

Eclipses can bring great intensity, but they have a cleansing feel – giving us more clarity for our direction before we move forwards into 2021.
