Ganesh Puja for
Knot on my Planet

with Eddie Stern - 16 June 2018

About the Puja

There are only 415,000 elephants left in the world, and they are being slaughtered at a rate of 30,000 per year.
If this is allowed to continue, we could be the last generation to ever see an elephant in the wild.

Eddie Stern will host a donation based puja at Delight Yoga.
All donations will be given to in support of the African elephants.

We are honored to host this special ceremony for Ganesh, the elephantheaded Hindu deity who is the remover of obstacles, and the giver of success for all new undertakings. Eddie Stern will perform this puja at Prinseneiland, a ceremony which creates a feeling of joy and enthusiasm, and creates a special sense of community. Please wear clean, festive clothing, and bring fresh fruits, nuts, or flowers, which we will offer to Ganesh during the ritual (and cash for your highly appreciated donations, which will be given to in support of the African elephants.).

Ganesh is the elephant-headed Hindu deity who is the remover of obstacles, and the giver of success for all new undertakings. The Goddess Lakshmi, who is the Goddess of sustenance and abundance, dwells in elephants, and elephants are said to be manifestations of Lakshmi. Through worshipping Ganesh, we invoke Lakshmi as well. This ceremony creates feelings of joy, devotion, and creates a special sense of expanded community, which includes people, animals, and nature.

Pujas by Eddie Stern

Throughout 2018, Eddie will be going around the world performing Ganesh Pujas to spread the awareness of the plight of the mighty and majestic elephants, whose existence on this planet is being imperiled through poaching. While pujas are always free, we are accepting donations at the end of these special pujas, and all of the money collected will be donated to Knot On My Planet, which supports elephant protection in Africa and the end of the ivory trade worldwide.

Introduction to Astanga Yoga

If you have heard about Astanga Yoga, but think that it sounds too hard or that you need to somehow know it already before you come to a class, or you have wanted to try it but feel intimidated, then this workshop will give you an easy access introduction to some of the poses, breathing, and philosophy behind this practice.

Astanga Yoga Workshop

During this 4-days workshop Eddie will offer a combination of led classes, mysore practice and lectures for students already familiar with the Astanga Yoga method. The program will start on Saturday with a full primary led class. For Sunday’s led class, we will also add the first half of Intermediate series.
