We are very honoured to welcome back Kino MacGregor for a long weekend of teachings in Amsterdam this September. In her unique, inspirational, and playful approach, Kino helps all her students expand and deepen their understanding of yoga and life. Friday Evening Session
The Equanimous Mind: Meditation and Discussion
Dive down into the inner world equipped with a calm, steady mind, and a courageous heart. Train the mind to be single-pointed in the Eka-Tattva state and cultivate a state of equanimity. A strong mind is a vital tool on the path of living the yogi’s life. Join this session and begin your spiritual journey.
Saturday Morning Practice
Vairagya: Mindful Movement
Learn a new paradigm for your practice where less effort equals more results. Drop into the inner body and discover healing, quietness, and wisdom. Start off with a meditation and end with a deep flow practice based on the Astanga Yoga method. This class is the antidote to a goal-oriented mindset. Understand what it means to practice with non-attachment and be in a fully surrendered state. Leave with an impartation of the most subtle teachings of yoga.
Saturday Afternoon Session
The Encyclopedia of Yoga (online via Zoom)
Delve deeply into the key asanas of the yoga practice. Explore the Sanskrit pronunciation and meaning of each pose and break down the technique and alignment and apply it directly to the practice. Topics rotate and usually cover a few poses in each session. Discussion, practice and technique. Appropriate for all levels.
Sunday Morning Practice
Astanga Yoga Full Primary Series
Surrender to the traditional Astanga Yoga method with careful emphasis on the traditional vinyasa method and have fun along the journey. Experience the integrity and purity of the Astanga Yoga practice and be prepared to sweat.
Sunday Afternoon Session
Pain is an unfortunate and often unavoidable occurrence in life. Yoga is a path of healing endured pain. In this class, you will address common yoga injuries and learn how to use the practice as a therapeutic space. With a small change in mindset and technique, you will discover a new way to move and ultimately love your body. Expect technique, discussion, and mild practice.
