Yogi Facilitator Training: Yoga for Depression & Anxiety - Online

Yoga for Depression & Anxiety is an important topic for most facilitators and yoga teachers these days. Many practitioners have questions about which practices are recommended for such difficulties, while there is much unclear advice out there about what is beneficial and when.

What you will learn:

This module will help you as a facilitator/yoga teacher discern between different intensities of both depression (hereunder also burn-out) and anxiety, including how to recognise it, how it is expressed and how to support oneself through Mindful yoga and mindfulness, and how the languaging in the philosophy versus psychology elaborate on states.


We will cover:

  • Yoga and mental health, and the context of practice
  • Pathology and diagnostics: the what, the how, and the understanding
  • Contraindications: when do we not advise asanas, meditations, and other tools from yoga and mindfulness

Having followed Level 1 and 2 of the YFT. This workshop is for yoga teachers wanting to learn more about mental emotional wellbeing or working in specific projects, eg. teaching prison yoga or in clinical settings​.

Online Format

This workshop will be offered as a nurturing home-based retreat. After this weekend, you will have access to the pre-recorded practices and course material for an additional 30 days.

The daily schedule for the training will include live online sessions as well as recordings. The formal pre-recorded practices (video, audio, lectures) will be offered for you to access in your own time/rhythm (for example, early mornings) on the training days.

You'll be partnered with a dharma buddy (a colleague/student) for reflection work as well as teaching practicum on the training days.


Yogi Facilitator Training

This workshop is Level 3 of the Yogi Facilitator training by Kristin, which is designed for yoga teachers wanting to learn more about mental emotional wellbeing or working in specific projects. Requirement for joining Level 3 is having followed Level 1 and 2 of the Yogi Facilitator Training. The (fully offered online) Yogi Facilitator Training merges contemporary clinical knowledge of mental and emotional health and practices with the wisdom traditions of yoga and dharma teachings.


It juxtaposes the mindfulness practices from the dharma path seamlessly with the most updated empirical knowledge from applied psychology. We all know Buddha was the first cognitive therapist, however, here you will get to experience the connecting of the dots in its fullness.

About Kristin

Kristin believes in empowering emotional well-being for integrated health to lead a wondrous life and provides services through her online practice. She is a trained clinical psychologist, yoga therapist & mindfulness facilitator, and is striving for a global paradigm shift of empowerment to mental health through her work. Kristin is a co-founder of Delight Yoga, the biggest yoga school in Europe, and the Arctic Yoga Conference. She published her book 'Inner Spark' in September 2019, and lives in Bodø, Norway.
