Important information about our new pricing structure

General information

At Delight Yoga, it is our mission to offer high-quality yoga classes at an affordable rate. While this mission remains, three main developments have called for a revision of our pricing:
 

- Increase in costs: over the last few years, we have been facing higher costs involved with running our studios (staff, housing, cleaning, maintenance, etc.). 

- Teacher pay: the same goes for our teachers. Their costs of living have also gone up but their income, which is related to the price of the classes, has not. 

- VAT increase: thirdly, the reduced VAT rate of 6% in will be increased to 9% in The Netherlands per 1 January 2019, and this rate applies to most of the services we offer at Delight Yoga.


All of this means that we have to raise our prices to be able to continue offering you the quality in our studios that you are used to. Our last price change dates back to January of 2015, and many things have changed since then. We are now adjusting our pricing accordingly. 


These changes will not necessarily lead to higher costs (per class) for you personally since we will also be introducing new, more affordable options. Please find all new pricing options in the pricing model below, which will be effective from the 1st of January. We also created an FAQ to answer any questions you might have.


Mysore Program

Please know that we value your presence in the Delight Yoga community enormously and do not take your commitment to the Mysore Program for granted. However, to be able to let the teachers continue what they are doing, the price change to your membership is two-fold. Your regular Delight Membership is subject to change and so is your Delight Mysore Membership supplement.
We understand that these cumulative changes can make for a notable difference, so we want to offer you - as a regular student - a €5,- monthly discount on the new prices (valid for current active Delight Mysore Memberships, and valid until termination). Please refer to the pricing model to get the complete picture.

We hope this message clarifies our motivation and intentions. If you have questions, or if you would like to share anything with us, please reply to this email (info@delightyoga.nl). We will be happy to explain in more detail, or to just listen. 

The changes to the pricing are applicable to all students of Delight Yoga, new or current students. For the Mysore Program, there will be a difference in pricing for current students and new students though, please check the Membership Category of this FAQ for more information.

On 1 January 2019 our new pricing will take effect. All pricing options will then be offered with a new price. All pricing options (except for Memberships) purchased before 1 January 2019 can be finished based on the conditions that applied during the purchase of that pricing option (e.g. you can finish your Delight Card that was bought before 1 January 2019 for the same price as you already made this purchase before the changes to the pricing). The changes to the prices of the memberships will be automatically applied during January's automatic SEPA-payments. 

It depends on your current pricing option: if you have a product that you purchased before the 1st of January, with a set amount of class credits (e.g. Introduction Card, Delight Card, Private Card), you can just finish it against the same conditions that applied when you purchased it, the pricing changes will not affect those products. All current members will automatically pay the new prices per January 2019. No memberships will be automatically terminated or upgraded to a 1-year membership. You can apply for the upgrade to a 1-year membership online if you wish through My Delight (to be developed) or by sending an e-mail to info@delightyoga.nl.

As infrequently as possible. The last changes to our pricing was in January 2015, 4 years ago. Right now, the things around us are changing, and it requires us to change accordingly.

If you do not agree to the changes to the prices we are introducing, it depends on your current pricing option what you can do: if you have a product that you purchased before the 1st of January, with a set amount of class credits (e.g. Introduction Card, Delight Card, Private Card), you can just finish it against the same conditions that applied when you purchased it, the pricing changes will not affect those products. If you have a membership, you can cancel your membership before the 15th of December to make sure you will not pay the new prices per January 2019.

Active products and pricing options

All current members will automatically pay the new prices per 1 January 2019. No memberships will be automatically terminated or upgraded to a 1-year membership. You can apply for the upgrade to a 1-year membership online if you wish through My Delight (to be developed) or by sending an e-mail to info@delightyoga.nl.

Yes, you can pause your membership one calendar month per year (for one time) and this can only be done for 1 full calendar month (so from the 1st until the 1st). You can send an email to info@delightyoga.nl at the latest on the 15th of the month prior to the month you want to have the contract terminated. A membership can also be frozen while you are still in the first 3 months of your membership, however, the minimum of 3 months remains required (the 1 month pause does not count as a month membership). The same conditions apply for the 1-year memberships: 1 time per year, for 1 month.

Yes, you can change membership types by sending your request to info@delightyoga.nl or through My Delight (not available yet, to be developed). Your newly chosen membership type will be in effect in the month after your request for changing it (or later in time if you wish so). This is valid for changes between regular & Mysore membership, and Off-peak memberships. If you have a 1-year membership, you can change your membership type after you current membership period ends.

Yes, we make an exception for students that still are in their first 3 months since you could not have known that pricing would change during your first 3 months. You can cancel your membership per 1 January by sending an e-mail to info@delightyoga.nl before December 15th.

These memberships are paid on a monthly basis, however you commit to this membership for 1 year against a more favourable price. You can still pause your membership 1 time for 1 full calendar month (from the 1st until the 1st) per year. 

Your 1-year membership will be automatically changed to a monthly membership (against the higher monthly fee), unless you renew your 1-year membership or cancel your membership. We will send you a reminder upfront so you can cancel in time, or change your membership type.

In principle your membership will continue to run as committed to during your sign-up. This is consequence of getting a better monthly price, but with less flexibility. We can make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at info@delightyoga.nl to see if we can work something out. 

Nothing. Since you paid upfront, you can just finish your annual membership against the same conditions during sign-up, you will not have to pay for the difference in pricing. When your current Annual Membership ends, you can move to the new 1-year membership (paid monthly). Pre-paid memberships might be presented again as a limited-time offer in the future, and will not be available continuously. 

No, unfortunately you can not join classes from the Mysore Program with an Off-peak Membership. You can get 30% discount on a Delight Guest with which you can go to classes outside Off-Peak hours - this can also be used for a Mysore class.

I you want to follow a class outside the off-peak window (e.g. evening classes or weekend classes), you can get a 30% discount on a Delight Guest so you can visit those classes too. If you want to book a class outside the off-peak hours, the website will automatically give you the option to get this discount (to be developed). 

With the Off-peak classes you can join classes that start between 09:00h and 17:30h during weekdays except for Mysore Program and Astanga Mysore. You can not join classes outside this timeframe, or in the weekends. If you want to join a class once in a while in the evening or in the weekend anyway, we have a special offer for students with an Off-peak Membership: you can get a 30% discount on a Delight Guest so you can visit those classes too.

Schedule and programming

If you have a product with a set amount of class credits (e.g. Introduction Card, Delight Card, Private Card), you can just finish it against the same conditions that applied when you purchased it, the pricing changes will not affect those products. This will apply for all products purchased before 1st of January (e.g. if you buy a Delight Card on the 25th of December, you can just finish that product without the changes to the pricing having an effect on that card).

The 2 classes are valid for 8 days, starting on the day of purchase. This way you can for example purchase and come to a class on Tuesday, and do a second class on Tuesday a week later again. 

Yes, after purchasing the two Introductory Classes, you can follow this up with either an Introduction Card or the Introduction to Yoga Program for exploring even more classes at Delight Yoga. 

The prices of private classes will go up with €5 per private class.
