8 Day/50 Hour Astanga Immersion
Starting on 31 August 2016 Go to schedule
This workshop has taken place already, please visit our Workshop Page for a more recent offering of workshops and trainings.
This is the perfect course for you who are ready to delve deeply into the traditional Astanga Yoga method. Study all aspects of this spiritual lineage over a one week immersion. We will focus on the Astanga Yoga Primary Series as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.
You will begin each day with asana practice, preparing body and mind for deeper reflections in the afternoon sessions. You will learn key anatomical pointers to maintain your body’s health and set the foundation for a deeper understanding of yoga asana. The intuitive process of body awareness becomes conscious through a direct application of movement technique, classic vinyasa counting and hands-on adjustments. Using Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras as a daily reference gives you a grounded perspective and complete overview for your yoga journey.
This course aims at giving you significant insight and knowledge of Astanga Yoga while deepening your personal practice. Whether you are an advanced practitioner or more novice, an aspiring or established yoga teacher we welcome you to join this week’s intensive dive. As long as you are a dedicated, curious practitioner, preferably with a sense of humor, this course will give you a direct experience of the infinite potential of Astanga Yoga.
