A Standing and Sitting poses workshop to untie the Granthis

In this workshop Ken the Rolfer helps you to examine how to organize our bones and integrate core breath movement in some of the key standing and sitting poses of the Astanga Primary Series sequence. As we open our hips and shoulders and strengthen Moola and Uddyana bandhas we begin to feel true Core Power in the pelvis (Brahma Granthi). 

We’ll begin to open shoulders, chest and neck (Vishnu Granthi) in new ways. This vital preparation will help us open our spines and manage the kundalini energy released in deep twists and backbends like Urdhva Dhanurasana, and the deeper backbends of the Intermediate Series. 

We will also cover basic Astanga safety and therapeutics and detail the last three finishing poses for beginners. 

Highly recommended - particularly if you have followed the Anatomy of Surya Namaskara Movement in September with Ken. All levels welcome.
