Awakening Prana: Mastering the Life Energy (50 hrs)

With Kevin Sahaj

This module is an in-depth study and practice of energy techniques from the Tibetan and Hindu yogic traditions with different pranayamas (including the proper use of Kumbhaka) mudras and mantras for understanding, awakening and harmonizing the pranic flows in the body, and awakening Kundalini Shakti.

The subtle energy practices within yoga are the spiritual heart of all yoga practices. Asana is a necessary preparation for this more subtle work of awakening our spirit and wisdom.

In this program you will learn the correct use of the breath for training in pranayama, asanas and movements for opening the nadis and prana, and general practical theory of prana and the subtle energy body. Classes will have a strong emphasis on practice and include movements of the body as well as sitting practices.
