Ayurvedic Massage Workshop

With Kirsten Drooger & Amanda Dries

This workshop has taken place already, please visit our Workshop Page for a more recent offering of workshops and trainings.

This 3-day Ayurvedic Massage Workshop is the perfect way to start (or reawaken) your Ayurvedic massage skills. The basic principles of an Ayurvedic massage focussing on front, back and face will be explored. You wil also gain insights in the foundation of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha and how to incorporate them into a simple ayurvedic massage. Some theory and a lot of ‘hands on’ in a juicy three days of Ayurveda!

During this 3-day workshop we will dive into the basic principles of Ayurvedic massage and how to massage front, back and face in a simple and easy to apply method. Ayurvedic massage is well known and has been used for millennia to keep body and mind flexible, peaceful and healthy. The basic technique is simple and provides many variations. In this workshop, we teach you a simple but very effective massage flow. Though generally Ayurvedic massage involves oils, occasionally we also use special powders. This is the beauty of Ayurveda: techniques and substances used are always adjusted to personal circumstances and conditions.

A regular Ayurvedic massage is beneficial for everyone. You will be guided into some theoretical backgrounds, but most of the workshop we will focus on bringing this theory into actual practice! You will be guided by Amanda & Kirsten, who are expert teachers who share their Ayurvedic massage skills in their own practice on a daily basis. Ayurvedic massage can be considered another kind of Ayurvedic nutrition: in this case through the skin. Therefore, some basic Ayurvedic nutrition principles will be addressed as well to make sure all is lined up in the best possible Ayurvedic way.
