Ayurvedic Yoga

With Victoria (Tory) Hyndman

New to Ayurveda?

This 3 hours workshop is the perfect way to begin (or reawaken) your Ayurvedic yoga practice.

Yoga & Ayurveda are complementary sciences, often referred to as sister sciences: the union of the Universal Wisdom. The union of these two sciences brings forth a system of healing for physical, mental and spiritual health and happiness.

During this 3 hours session you will learn the three “dosha’s” (combination of elements) that make us into “you” and how to recognize when one of the dosha’s are out of balance through asanas, mudras and pranayamas. By applying Ayurvedic techniques, you will learn more about your body (and that of others) bringing forth a system of healing for physical, mental and spiritual health.

This powerful program is designed to introduce students to the principles of Ayurveda giving practical tips on how to apply this in daily life and on the yoga mat, creating peace and harmony in the body and mind.

What you will learn during this workshop:

  • Introduction to basic principles of Ayurveda
  • How to apply Ayurveda into your yoga practice
  • Practical tips on how to integrate Ayurveda into your daily life
  • How to experience the asanas (postures) in different ways so you can adjust your practice and make it more custom to your individual needs.
  • An Introduction to the Ayurvedic programs we offer at Delight Academy, giving you an opportunity to experience and practice the basics of Ayurveda in the workshop itself.

This Ayurvedic Yoga workshop is a slow paced, informative class, with some asana practice, designed to delve yourself into the world of Ayurveda based on the ancient knowledge and traditions, preparing you for the other Ayurvedic courses within Delight, such as the Nutrition Courses I (60 hours) & II (30 hrs) of Coen van der Kroon, Foundation on Ayurveda (50hrs), Living Ayurveda (50 hrs) and Ayurvedic Yoga (50 hrs).
