Friday 11 February: Releasing and Healing our Emotional Body through Postures and Breathwork
18:30 -21:00

It is said that the human being has a powerful guiding voice within; it is the voice of our intuition and wisdom. But this voice is commonly drowned out by the noise in our mind. The noise is often caused from chaotic or congested emotions from stress, depression, PTSD, or anxiety. In this workshop we will begin with a talk by Max, then move into a gentle breath-initiated movement sequence. The second half of the workshop will focus on floor postures and breath-work to release the mind and body from long-held emotions that impede our happiness and our ability to sleep well. Bring your writing materials.

 

Saturday 12 February: The Five Core Human Needs
10:00 – 11:30

Human beings have five core needs, and from fulfilling these we find meaning in our life and peace and connection with each other. Without them we suffer from loneliness, alienation, and anxiety issues. Known for his depth perception and insight into the human experience, this seminar offers an inspiring and timely talk by Max, self-enquiry, and writing. It will help you to see your relationships differently, and even help to recalibrate your priorities. This special event will also include some simple but impactful breathing practice. Please bring writing materials.

 

Saturday 12 February: Anxiety, Grief, and Intimacy - Healing the hidden wounds
14:00 - 16:00

This event reveals a new understanding of the interconnectedness between anxiety, loneliness, and unhealed grief. Put simply, it could be said that when you heal one you heal all three and that is because they are all aspects of the central issue of our relationship with ourselves and others. By healing we enhance our ability to have deeper intimacy with our relationships, and the reclaiming of sustained tranquility and peace in our daily lives. Class will include a lecture and writing, simple but high impact breathing exercises; and guided meditation.

 

Sunday 13 February: The Alchemy of Transformation
10:00 - 12:00

This Inner Axis workshop includes a special sequence of postures known to create a profound sense of stillness. Session also includes: lecture, breathing patterns, focused acts of intention and will, and unifying guided meditation. The principles you will learn in this workshop will take you to new depths in your practice and inspire you for weeks to come.

 

Sunday 13 February: Finding Your Life Purpose
14:00 - 16:00

Join Max for an inspiring and insightful talk and a concise course in essential steps to reveal and/or launch one’s life purpose. The insight you will gain cannot be purchased or found in a book, university, or website. This special seminar will help you to see your world differently, and even course-correct the trajectory of your life course. Be sure to bring writing materials.

About Max Strom

Born with severe clubbed feet, Max Strom spent much of the first six years of his life with his feet confined in plaster casts and braces. Today, he is known for inspiring and impacting the lives of people from all walks of life, teaching breathing patterns and personal transformation worldwide. His method, Inner Axis, is known to produce immediate results in alleviating stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression, impacting the internal and emotional aspects of our life, as well as physical healing.

His TEDx talk, Breathe to Heal, is approaching three million views on Youtube. Many know him for his two inspiring books: There is No APP for Happiness, addressing the challenge of finding meaning in the digital age, and A Life Worth Breathing, published in five languages and used as required reading in many yoga trainings. A dynamic speaker, Max has presented three TEDx events, keynote addresses at medical conferences, wellbeing conferences, corporate conferences, and many yoga festivals. Most recently he presented at the World Government Summit in Dubai, the first Wellness Symposium in Saudi Arabia, and the Inner Peace Conference in Amsterdam. Max is based in the Netherlands.
