Meditation Course: (Re)discover Compassion

With Kimberly Poppe

Discover how powerful and transformative compassion can be! Compassion is a profound personal resource that we all naturally have. Sometimes we just need to spend a little time re-discovering it. In this course, we will explore this great natural source of well being and how we can cultivate it both for ourselves and others. We will draw on traditional contemplative practices, as well as modern research, particularly in the field of self-compassion, to help us lead more compassionate and fulfilled lives.

The course will run for six weeks and it includes:

  • the actual weekly class including meditation, contemplation, reflection and self-inquiry, as well as space to share experiences and ask questions.
  • a suggested practice programme for the week in-between the classes including access to guided meditations on audio, as well as practical tips, resources and advice for integrating the practice into your daily life.

Previous students have found that the interaction and connections they make with their fellow meditators in the courses is incredibly rich, and also that having a practice focus for the week helps bring the benefits of the practice into their everyday experience, including their other yoga classes!

Group size

The course will be intimate in size (max 12 people) so there will be lots of opportunity for personal attention in a warm, gentle, open and safe atmosphere infused with the spirit of compassion.

It is helpful if students have had some previous experience in meditation as a basis for this course.

What people have said about previous courses:

Being able to sit amongst Kimberly and others in contemplative and warm dialogue through several of her meditation courses has been a source of great wonder, insight and nourishment. Time with her has brought traditionally rooted, clear and simple tools to accept and to love myself and others. She creates a safe and supportive space to explore, be open, to laugh and to be vulnerable if needed. She is joyful, loving space.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing me a new fresh perspective at a time that has been rather stormy. I love how you manage to keep the classes fun and light-hearted, even though we are opening up to some pretty intense emotions, and how you make sure we all keep it REAL. The magic turns out to be in the simplicity and the love—it’s funny how something so obvious can be so surprising at the same time.
