Meditation Course: Exploring Thoughts & Emotions - Level 3

With Kimberly Poppe

Beginning again in January, Kimberly Poppe will offer a series of courses exploring meditation and compassion practices. 


They will be intimate in size (max 14 people per course) so there will be lots of opportunity for personal attention in a warm, gentle, open and safe atmosphere infused with the spirit of self-compassion.


Each one of these courses will run for five weeks. The course includes:

  • the actual weekly class offering an opportunity to learn new aspects of the meditation or compassion practice, time to practice together as a group, as well as space to share experiences and ask questions. 
  • a suggested practice programme for the week in-between the classes (only around 10 minutes a day) including access to guided meditations on audio, as well as practical tips, resources and advice for integrating the practice into your daily life.


Previous students have found that the interaction and connections they make with their fellow meditators in the courses is incredibly rich, and also that having a practice focus for the week helps bring the benefits of the practice into their everyday experience, including their other yoga classes!


About this course

Meditation: Exploring Thoughts & Emotions (experienced)

This course will explore developing a different relationship with our thoughts and emotions, to be able to make friends them and use them to our advantage, instead of being used by them. We will particularly focus on exploring emotions—understanding what they are, becoming more familiar with them through mindfulness and awareness of physical sensations and exploring different ways to allow them to be and then move through. 


It is helpful if students have had previous experience in meditation, preferably taking the two previous courses, The Fundamentals and Exploring the Senses.

About Kimberly Poppe

Kimberly has been immersed in Buddhist study and practice for the last 20 years. She has received personal instruction and training from some of the greatest Tibetan teachers of our time who authorised her to teach. In addition, she has also studied with some of the leading scientists, pioneers and teachers of mindfulness, loving kindness and self-compassion in the West.
