Meditation Course: Loving Kindness - Level 1

With Kimberly Poppe

Beginning again in January, Kimberly Poppe will offer a series of courses exploring meditation and compassion practices. 

They will be intimate in size (max 14 people per course) so there will be lots of opportunity for personal attention in a warm, gentle, open and safe atmosphere infused with the spirit of self-compassion.

Each one of these courses will run for five weeks. The course includes:

  • the actual weekly class offering an opportunity to learn new aspects of the meditation or compassion practice, time to practice together as a group, as well as space to share experiences and ask questions. 
  • a suggested practice programme for the week in-between the classes (only around 10 minutes a day) including access to guided meditations on audio, as well as practical tips, resources and advice for integrating the practice into your daily life.

Previous students have found that the interaction and connections they make with their fellow meditators in the courses is incredibly rich, and also that having a practice focus for the week helps bring the benefits of the practice into their everyday experience, including their other yoga classes!

About this course

Loving Kindness (all levels)

This course will explore gently cultivating loving-kindness towards oneself and others.  The intention of this practice is to send well-being and happiness to oneself and the world around us. It is a wonderful way to begin to plant the seeds of love within that will also impact our way of being in our lives. For those who have already taken a loving kindness class with Kimberly, this course will also include some new and different elements, such as spending time to develop your own personal loving kindness phrases. It is helpful if students have had some previous grounding in meditation as a basis for this course.

About Kimberly Poppe

Kimberly has been immersed in Buddhist study and practice for the last 20 years. She has received personal instruction and training from some of the greatest Tibetan teachers of our time who authorised her to teach. In addition, she has also studied with some of the leading scientists, pioneers and teachers of mindfulness, loving kindness and self-compassion in the West.
