Mindfulness Meditation Workshop - Silence Is A Superpower
With Hedi de Vree
14 February 2021 Go to schedule
Mindfulness can give you the space to welcome and experience your emotions and to recognize that they are not the enemy! They, like you, want to be seen, heard, felt, and connected with. They want your attention so they can offer you insights and wisdom.
⚭ Navigating emotions through mindfulness
Emotions - whether angry, peaceful, anxious, sad, or happy - activate your nervous system and take hold of your energy and brain space. That is why it sometimes feels like we are being held hostage by our emotions, and why we may even be tempted to resist them when they are strong. But refusing to accept how we feel is a surefire way to invite that exact same emotion back. What you deny emotionally will return, because emotions have important information for us.
What you will learn:
In this workshop, Hedi de Vree will guide you through meditations that focus on welcoming emotions as they are. When we can embrace our emotional selves completely, fear and anxiety lose their power over us, self-judgments lose their grip, and (self-)love and real compassion become our natural state.
Some yoga and/or meditation experience will benefit you in this workshop but is not necessary.
