Savasana Concert

A live concert with meditative music to calm the mind and soothe the heart. Experience the calming effect of ancient mantras, prayer, sound and silence during this lie-down concert.
This 1,5-hour journey will start with a short meditation and breathing exercise with live music to calm the nervous system and guide your attention inwards. Thereafter, you will comfortably rest in savasana and experience deep relaxation to the sounds of gentle guitar play, Shruti box, tanpura and Dana’s healing voice.
The journey ends with tuning into sound together and the chanting of mantras. Ancient mantras are known to have a healing effect and recharge body and mind. The Sanskrit root of “mantra” is “manas” which means mind combined with “trai” which means to “set free from.” The literal definition of mantra is “set free the mind.”
On 5 June, Dana will be accompanied by a special guest musician, Tammo Heikens, on the sitar and guitar.

About Dana Devi
Dana is a singer, Yoga teacher and musician. She was raised in a Yoga ashram and has been surrounded by Indian music and mantras from a young age. Over the years music became her meditation, and she wrote soothing melodies to calm the mind and comfort the heart. Her first album “Doorway to Silence” has been released in May 2019. Her songs are about resting into your own being, remembering that love is our true nature and that we are already whole and complete. Since 2016 she has been teaching Sivananda yoga (a traditional form of hatha yoga) and currently she sings and plays music at yoga classes, sound journeys and kirtans. www.danadevi.com
