Silent Sit Meditation: Sacred Sunday - Online

With Roland Jan van Mulligen & Inge Peters

Take refuge in this day of rest.

The facilitators of the Silent Sit morning meditation gladly share a day of silence with you. This ‘Sacred Sunday’ will be offered every 2nd Sunday of the month, with 2 of our facilitators. Experience a day of silence in the comfort of your own home, and get deeply anchored in your true nature, in the stillness of Being.

⚭ “A day of silence can be a pilgrimage in itself.” - Hafiz

In these chaotic and turbulent times, the need for silence and peace seems more relevant than ever before. Many of us experience feeling overwhelmed and confused or the discomfort of uncertainty. Silence brings you back to the core of Being, here you remember the essence of who you are, and find clarity, love, and truth.

What you will learn:

Staying in silence for a day, without social interaction, will help you get more familiar with your true nature, which is peace itself.

You will learn the art of meditation, and learn to hear the language of silence. Not through techniques or methods, but by deeply resting in Being. In the space of silence, you can align yourself with essence, with source.

⚭ “The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.” - Rumi

The set up for the day is simple (see Schedule below). We will partially guide the beginnings or the meditations and we will share some supportive tools such as breathwork and bodywork. However, most of the time we will sit together in full silence. We will build up the duration we sit in silence and close the day with a sharing.

This day is open for everyone with a true longing to come out of confusion and suffering and get more familiar with the Truth of our Being.

It is recommended to have some experience with meditation. If you haven’t meditated before, we kindly invite you to join 3 online silent sits in the morning at Delight Yoga with our facilitators.

Make sure that you are comfortable and you have a place to sit quietly. This can be on a meditation cushion, but also on a chair or couch, as long as you are sitting upright. Wear easy, comfortable clothes. Make sure that you are alone and/ or won’t be disturbed by family, friends or social media. Eat light, easy to digest food: fruit, veggies, a light soup for lunch. Drink enough water and tea to hydrate your body.
