Mindfulness to empower emotional wellbeing

We can’t change the circumstances we live in, but we can do something about how we deal with them. Would you like to increase your own well-being and feel more empowered in your life?


Every now and then, you can feel stuck in worrisome thought loops, negative emotional spirals, or continuous stress. In this training, Clinical Psychologist, yogini and Delight Yoga co-founder, Kristin Vikjord, will teach you the most efficient mindfulness tools and potent practices to:

  • Reduce chaotic thoughts and worries
  • Regulate stress activation and self-soothe
  • Cope with intense emotions


Scientific research shows that the practice of mindfulness makes you feel happier, reduces stress, and increases your overall health.


During this 50-hour training, you will not only learn to deepen your meditation practice, but you’ll also learn to establish a practice in moving meditation with purpose to tone vagus activation and strengthen your ability to self-regulate.

What you will learn:

  • Meditations in mindfulness and compassion
  • Breathing techniques for immediate self-soothing and anxious relief
  • Mindful Yoga: beautiful movement practice, gentle, flowing and grounding sequences
  • Theory of insight tradition: the four noble truths, the four foundations of mindfulness, and the eightfold path of mindful living
  • Strategies to deal with thought chaos, worries and intense emotions
  • Mindfulness in daily life, as skilful means, off the mat
  • Self-help tools for emotional and mental well-being
  • Bonus: Learn the didactics of this practice: how to prepare and teach what you have learned, including:
    • The integration of mindfulness in asana - moving meditation
    • Teaching methodology - how to teach Mindful Yoga


Be ready to dive into a gentle, potent and compassionate way to embody yourself, and thereby enabling yourself to relate more richly to your surroundings.


Intended for all yogis, both students and yoga teachers.


The program is online, consisting of live sessions on Zoom (lectures and sharings), a few pre-recorded practices, and dharma buddy assignments (reflection work and teaching practicum for deeper practice integration) with a fellow student, under guidance. For those who find dharma buddy work challenging, individual adaptations are possible. We advise you to treat the training weekends as mini-retreats, i.e. keeping the days as free as possible, so you can fully integrate the teachings.

Online Format

The Yoga & Mindfulness to empower emotional wellbeing training is offered as a nurturing home-based training. You'll be able to participate in this 50-hour training with access to the pre-recorded practices and training material for an additional 30 days.


The daily schedule for the training will include live online sessions in groups and in pairs. Some formal practices will be offered as recordings for you to access in your own time/rhythm. We advise you to treat the training weekends as mini-retreats, i.e. keeping the days as free as possible, so you can fully integrate the teachings.


You'll be partnered with a dharma buddy (a colleague/student) for reflection work as well as teaching practicum throughout the training days.



Typical daily schedule (subject to change):

  • 09.00 - 11.00 hrs: Guided meditation, breathwork, and Mindful Yoga practice (live)
    11.15 - 12.00 hrs: Sharing & lecture (live)
    12.00 - 13.00 hrs: Lunch break 
    13.00 - 15.00 hrs: Lecture & group session (2 x 45 mins and 15 mins breaks) (live) 
    15.00 - 17.00 hrs: Work with dharma buddy/teaching practicum (live - with dharma buddy) or meditation, breathwork, asana (pre-recorded practice)

In addition, there will be assignments + journaling.


Kristin looks very much forward to facilitating you in deepening mindfulness, yoga and compassion-based practices and theory. By the end of this training, you'll be confident in integrating these practices in your own practice and teaching.


This training is designed for yoga teachers as well as committed yoga practitioners. Participants need to have at least two years of regular yoga practice (including pranayama and meditation), or to have attended a silent retreat (minimum of ten days or more), or to have completed an MBSR-course or similar.


These 50 hours are part of the Delight Academy Advanced Teacher Training, however, this training is not in itself a teacher training program.

Yogi Facilitator Training

This 50-hour training is part of Level 1 of the Yogi Facilitator Training by Kristin, which is designed for yoga teachers wanting to learn more about mental emotional wellbeing or working in specific projects (eg. teaching prison yoga or in clinical settings​). The (fully offered online) Yogi Facilitator Training merges contemporary clinical knowledge of mental and emotional health and practices with the wisdom traditions of yoga and dharma teachings.


It juxtaposes the mindfulness practices from the dharma path seamlessly with the most updated empirical knowledge from applied psychology. We all know Buddha was the first cognitive therapist, however, here you will get to experience the connecting of the dots in its fullness. If you are (becoming) a yoga teacher, we recommend also following Level 2 and 3 of this fully online program.
