Astanga at your own pace

The transmission of this tradition has always been from one person to another, in an intuitive, receptive and guiding relationship. The practice will be taught one-on-one as a self-practice within the supportive context of community. No experience or prior knowledge of the sequence is required, just some curiosity and a willingness to learn. You will be carefully guided through the series step by step and at your own pace. By learning to practice on your own in this way, you have the opportunity to foster a regular form of ritual to nourish and observe as it grows. 


This class is specifically for students who are curious about the tradition and considering taking up a regular practice and switching to the Mysore membership in order to attend the Mysore Program. The foundation for the practice will be explained and the very beginning of the sequence will be taught in a clear, safe and encouraging space. 


Note: 
The Mysore Program is on the schedule at the level of self-practice. Please don’t let this hold back your enthusiasm for learning the Astanga method traditionally with us in the Mysore room. No prior knowledge is needed, and the sequence does not need to be memorised before you start. The Mysore room is open for everyone and you will be guided at your own pace. If you are curious about the tradition and considering taking up a regular practice, it is encouraged to attend one or two Mysore Beginners classes before you decide to commit to regular practice. In the Mysore Beginners class the foundation of the practice will be explained and the very beginning of the sequence will be taught in a clear, safe and encouraging space.
