Restorative Yoga

A calm and grounding practice

In this Restorative Yoga class props, like blocks and bolsters, will be used to support you in the postures. This class is great if you are new to yoga, prefer a calmer, more grounding practice or like to work deeply and learn how to use props to help you relax into poses. This class is also suitable if you are healing from an injury, are dealing with stress or burn out or have been travelling a lot. 

Restorative

We will hold the poses for a longer period of time, somewhere in between 5 to 20 minutes. In the poses, we are not aiming to stretch or strengthen the body, but we're looking for effortlessness and relaxation.

Mindfulness & Restorative

This class integrates Restorative Yoga with gentle movement, breathwork, and guided meditation. Restorative postures are supported with props and held for several minutes at a time, which facilitates deep levels of relaxation. In addition to being an effective complement to more active styles of yoga or sports, this style of yoga can be a powerful healing tool for those experiencing acute or chronic injury, illness, or physical/emotional stress. Tools from mindfulness meditation will be emphasized throughout, cultivating present-moment awareness and self-compassion.
