Of the many, many benefits of Yin Yoga, one of my favorites is the introspective mood it puts us in. We naturally become more attuned to our inner processes and find space for relaxation and connection.
Yoga philosophy can have exactly the same effect. It touches us in places we have forgotten, or neglected, and creates space for self-observation and self-improvement. Yoga philosophy is not an intellectual exercise of remote concepts but an opening and expanding of the heart.
When combined, Yin Yoga and philosophy can be a deeply nourishing, supportive and transformative experience.
