Physical exercise has always been a part of Ergün's life. For years he played soccer and he spent many hours at the gym. As he searched for more meaning, he switched to the practice of martial arts (Wing Chun). This gave him the opportunity to combine physical exercise with the principles of Eastern philosophy. Although martial arts contributed to his self-development, Ergün was looking for more introspection. In 2012, he spontaneously attended a yoga class, which made a huge impact on him.
He started practising at Delight Yoga. After exploring various yoga styles he developed a steady Astanga Yoga and Yin Yoga practice. He finds both styles very complementary and sees them as a tool for self-study and self-development. Ergün completed a Yin Yoga Teacher Training under the guidance of the late Anat Geiger and Marcel van de Vis. Further, he also finished the Delight Yoga Pre Teacher Training under the guidance of Govinda Kai and Claudia Pradella.
Ergün practices yoga daily, as it provides continuous insights, which can be useful for daily life. Also, he continues studying yoga literature and participating in yoga workshops and trainings. In Ergün's Yin classes you will be guided through several poses which will be held for a longer time (3-5 minutes) to stimulate the deeper layers of the body. This will give you the opportunity to slow down, find relaxation and quiet the mind.
