The breath is magic to Jurre. “The breath takes me to places in the body that feel like inner in outer space." His Astanga classes are focused on moving with the breath, being the breath, and using it to find space and peace.
Creating this space and peace while respecting the body’s anatomy, Jurre likes to provide a safe and personal Yoga practise to his students. Exploring and experiencing the never-ending path of Yoga is the primary focus of Jurre’s life.
After his 500hr Brahmani Yoga training with Julie Martin in 2008, he started studying in the Astanga lineage. Jurre has studied with various teachers, including Ken ‘The Rolfer’, Richard Freeman, the source in Mysore with Saraswati Jois, and deepening his knowledge with Guru Sharathji Jois.
As of this November, Jurre is newly authorized by the ‘Sharath Yoga Center’ in Mysore.
