Kamini has always had a passion for movement. As a kid she was always outside, exploring her boundaries; climbing, dancing, moving!
Kamini took a break of her study in psychology to travel to India in 1997 where she learned and practised different methods of bodywork.
She started to notice how every psychological issue also manifests physically. This made her realize that the mind can find healing through the axis of the body. She transformed her passion into her work and has worked with body and movement ever since, first as a massage therapist and since 2008 also as a yoga teacher.
Kamini studied with various renowned teachers around the globe (Gert van Leeuwen, Donna Farhi, Francoise Freedman, Katy Bowman, Leo Peppas), each one of them helping her deepen her understanding of the human body and clarifying the interaction between body and mind.
She is passionate about working with pregnant women as it is such a transformational period of life. She loves to inspire them to move towards an empowering birth experience by understanding the design of the human body and how to use it optimally. She brings a profound knowledge of alignment to class and combines this with various breathing and relaxation techniques to prepare for birth.
