Karol Damian

Born and raised in Brazil, Karol started her Yoga journey by chance in 2009. Her practice became more consistent after the stress of a corporate job affected her own health and wellbeing, inspiring her to learn more about the teachings of Yoga, and to share it with others.

She has studied Hatha Yoga in India, and continued her training in Australia with restorative Yoga practices by the Australian College of Classical Yoga, as well as Trauma Sensitive Yoga courses with Shirley Hicks, Annabel McLisky and Arthur Sharp.

Her Hatha Yoga classes at Delight are an invitation to reconnect to self through a combination of mindful movement and breath awareness that can meet the students wherever they are – despite Yoga experience, age, or energy levels on the day.

She believes that Yoga is an act of self-love that can take us back to ourselves and create room for us to reconnect with one-another. Her goal is to have the students leaving every class with a sense of fulfilment and trust in their own potential to find balance within themselves.
