Luca, born and raised in Florence, Italy, is a passionate teacher that explores practising through a dynamic vision of the traditional Astanga Vinyasa Yoga method. Trained in Florence by Larry Schultz Rocket movement “It’s Yoga”, he became certified Astanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher in 2015 and, following the path of Larry Schultz method, became a certified Rocket teacher in 2016.
In 2018 he enriched his anatomical knowledge and studied how the practice impacts the human body with “The Yoga Therapy Institute” in Amsterdam attending the “Skeletal and Muscular Clinic” module under the guidance of M. Mukherjee.
Luca encountered practising for the first time through meditation while he was working as a chef in The Netherlands. Attracted by Eastern philosophies at a young age, with Yoga and Meditation he discovered a method to release stress from his daily life, and since then he has been exploring the mind, according to the teachings of his Satsang mentor Swami Tripurashakti. This experience enhanced his interest in the practice which he explored attending different meditation and vipassana retreats through the years.
After his first long travel in Asia in 2011, Luca started to also explore the asanas and the physical vision of Yoga through different expressions and methods and later moving his interest more towards disciplines related to movement science and awareness.
Luca’s view of the practice is a mixture of freedom and tradition given by his Rocket education and fundamentals with plenty of modifications to either facilitate or increase the level of practice and where the sequences have a strong correlation with mind reaction to body movements, prepare as a path to health, flexibility, strength and balance the inner and outer journey of students.
As a visionary cook, reflective photographer and explorer of the psychological universe, Luca loves to bring his own personal life experience into his teachings following the beautiful motto of Krishnamacharya: “Teach what is inside of you. Not as it applies to you, to yourself, but as it applies to the other”
