Pamela Driessen was born in The Netherlands and raised in the tropics. Living in different countries and experiencing different cultures was very enriching and dynamic. What remained constant was her love for dance and movement. As a ballet dancer, she was used to moving her body and pushing her boundaries. Yoga sure offered a refreshing perspective! Exploring movement from within, feeling and being aware of the breath brought a sense of calm and clarity.
She has since rooted down in The Hague. With the intention of deepening her personal practice and knowledge, she completed a 3-year Hatha yoga teacher training program in 2013. She did not anticipate falling in love with teaching! Sharing with and guiding others through their practice brings such joy and energy, the transformation one can feel and see after even just a short practice is magical!
Pamela obtained her Prenatal Yoga teachers’ degree at the same time. A mother of two boys, she experienced firsthand how yoga can benefit pregnancy and the birth process and she loves to support expecting moms on part of their journey.
Since then she has trained with Tara Stiles and Michael Taylor, over the years completing 400+ hours of Strala Yoga Trainings. Strala combines the movement and healing wisdom of Tai Chi with the form of vocabulary of yoga. Using the breath to explore and move the body, the practice helps people to drop stress, move easily through challenge and bring the focus back to how they feel.
Pamela’s classes are infused with elements of Strala, guiding whole-body movement ignited by the breath and finding strength that comes from a place of ease.
