Philine’s first encounter with yoga was as a young girl watching her grandfather going up into headstand every morning. She was intrigued and joyfully started copying these shapes and she discovered that moving, dancing and being upside down created freedom and happiness in her body.
Over the years Philine learned that yoga actually isn’t about making bodily shapes, but it’s a path to self-realization helping to create a life with more ease, joy and compassion. A desire to share this with others led her to become a dedicated life-long student, practitioner and teacher of various forms of yoga and related systems (Vinyasa, Prana flow, Yin, Meditation and Ayurveda).
Every day she’s grateful for the teachings she’s received from her wide array of beloved teachers, including Shiva Rea, Coral Brown, Sarah Powers and Meghan Currie, among many others.
In her classes, she teaches from the heart and aims to create more space, embodiment and presence in the body, mind and breath to balance out our often hectic, busy and at times stressful lives.
