Yoga

Union of body, mind and heart to find liberation

The origin of yoga is rooted in the soil of the Indus Valley beneath the Himalayan Mountains. Its tradition is so ancient, that it goes back 5000 years. In Sanskrit, Yoga literally means 'union'. The intention of Yoga is the union of body, mind and heart to find liberation, or 'Samadhi'. Yoga offers many practices like Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breathwork) Mantra (chanting) and Meditation.

At Delight Yoga, we are dedicated to honouring and sharing the roots of the yoga tradition with our students. That's why we incorporate traditional elements of yoga in all our classes and workshops to connect to your true self and find inner peace. Whether you are looking to support your mental wellbeing, physical health or find balance in your daily life, we are delighted to help you find your own path.

We offer many different traditional lineages based styles of Yoga. In yoga terminology, lineage refers to the historical succession of knowledge passed from teacher to teacher. Sun practices like Ashtanga and Vinyasa uplift your energy while Moon practices like Yin or Restorative Yoga calm you down. Yoga is about balancing both energies within you, so choose the style that suits your needs in the moment.
