At Delight Yoga, we offer Circular Breathing classes and workshops guided by expert teachers in Amsterdam and Online. The Circular Breathing classes are designed to get in touch with the unprocessed energies we store in the body. An opportunity to breathe into any long-held tension and possible fears. By coming into reunion with them we find rest and again remember the natural flow of life. This breath cleanses our perception so we can have a clear view of who we are.

About Circular Breathing

Circular breathing is a therapeutic technique that allows you to enter into a process where that which is unconscious in you may come into the light - to be seen and reviewed. It enables you to be both the experiencer and the observer simultaneously. When we consciously breathe with this awareness, we make it possible to resolve, integrate and heal previously unresolved tensions or issues within ourselves. This frees up energy, bringing greater aliveness and joy, and feeling spacious in body and mind.

In this technique, we remove the pauses between the in- and exhalation and the ex- and inhalation. Our breathing then becomes circular, without any intermissions. Both the in- and out-breath are done through the mouth. The inhalation is full and deep, the exhalation is completely relaxed.

Circular breathing is a strong and effective technique with which you invite these tight and dense areas in the body to loosen up and therefore release old stuck emotions and trauma that we have collected unconsciously on a cellular level. When these tensions are released, the limiting 'me-story' drops, and also our breath is free and can flow naturally.

By freeing up ourselves physically, mentally, and emotionally we start to realise more and more who or what we truly are. Our ever-free, timeless essence, the source within. And that we are not defined or confined by thoughts and emotions. We experience ourselves as that in which thoughts, feelings, and all other experiences naturally arise and pass. You remain as the unmoving silent Witness to all happenings.

About studio

This yoga studio is located on the South side of Amsterdam city centre and has a beautiful view of the Rijksmuseum. At this location, you can practice Vinyasa, Ashtanga Led, Hatha, Yin, Yin Yang, Yoga Nidra, Healing Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Prenatal Yoga and Circular Breathing. The studio has two large yoga shalas. Please note that this is the only Delight Yoga studio without showers.
