In the classes of Delight Yoga we also often practice Pranayama. Pranayama are a set of simple breathing techniques which help to cleanse and stabilise the body and mind.
The practise of Pranayama is highly recommended in addition to a regular Yoga Asana (postures) practice, in any style of yoga. It will help you deepen your awareness of the breath and the body, which will then benefit your yoga practice. The Pranayama offers a simple and safe set of practices, combining Kriyas (cleansing techniques) with specific Pranayama techniques, concentration, meditation and mantra, all based on the teachings of Paul Dallaghan and of Pranayama Master Sri O.P. Tiwari.
The Circular Breathing classes are designed to get in touch with the unprocessed energies we store in the body. An opportunity to breathe into any long-held tension and possible fears. By coming into reunion with them we find rest and again remember the natural flow of life. This breath cleanses our perception so we can have a clear view of who we are. In a warm and heartfelt setting, we dive into our inner world.
With a regular Pranayama practice, more vital energy is made available for the body and mind. The breath begins to flow more freely, providing access to deeper states of meditation. The digestive system and lungs are stimulated and cleansed, the mind becomes clear and calm, the nervous system strengthens. You will feel vital, awake and content as your body's energy system is balanced.
